I think the piano is shocking the listeners more than expected. Maybe if they had it replaced with a guitar riff the perception of the song would be different. I hope not.

One thing for Sure the opinions are divided. i think its pretty good. great spirit production and performance. but as a "song" its lacking, but you can tell its not meant to be a acoustic melody driven song. I thought it would sound like a band jamming and the song came from that.and not written by one person on an acoustic. i stated this in another thread couple days ago.
I predict this is the only song on the album with a jerry lee lewis vibe. which is good. i think its ok for a one off though

This ISN'T Oasis, this is a band who has two members that joined and were writing under the impression that their songs must have an Oasis sound, now there is a new band and they are writing music in a style they all enjoy I imagine Noel always complained they wrote oasis-vibe songs. Noel wanted they bring some fresh air. They almost never delivered.

If this is an album track imagine how bad the b-sides will be... I'm just holding out any kind of hope that this is either their bottom of their barrel or somewhere in the middle of their best songs. That the best is yet too come, but I do doubt. And yet I hope.

You all really need to pull away from the whole Oasis thing, this is a whole new project and they are doing things they weren't allowed to do in Oasis. I fucking love it. Just enjoy the song. Feel sorry for you lot.

Then I suggest you not use an online-dictionary. Okay mediocre and decent have the same meaning, except different connotations. Now stop arguing about something thats completely stupid because your wrong. Ask any English teacher and they'll tell you you're wrong. Or try being an English major. Just got my actual dictionary out, still different. Wouldn't you have to be able to read first?

Oasis is done and dusted.... The other 3 trying to write oasis songs hasn't worked, this is something totally different.... Dunno who wrote it but songbird aside would easily be that persons best contribution to the oasis cannon. As a taster for the band it's catchy upbeat and fun. Some of you are so misreble who want nothing but supersonic part 2. I havent seen many people calling for that. Just people saying that its not a good song. Its decent at best. exactly!! its he song itself that is poor- not the fact it is a different style from typical oasis

Like I said in the other thread, it's better than I expected. Very 60s and simple. It's good that those 4 lads are trying to do something new.
The intro reminds me Weller's "Moonshine" lol, btw.

He;s got his opinion and I respect it, but I've had conversations with professors on when to use those two words and all have told me that it depends on the connotation. But yeah, bit of a low blow.

wow i'm really disappointed. Somewhere Noel Gallagher is laughing his ass off. Considering that its their released song, it's pretty awful. I'm not saying that because it doesn't sound like an Oasis song- Oasis isn't the only band that I like. I'm saying it because I don't like it.

God that was shit.
People who like it must loathe Oasis or be on crack.

I think Noel could be in danger of cracking those ribs he broke in Canada, all down to this song alone. Even those 1989 demos are better than this...

Well it's not a bad song, a completely different sound. Works rather well on Liam's voice. Nice progression. I'm glad that it's something completely different from Oasis. That's the problem here, some people were expecting to hear something that they could link to Oasis, now that didn't happen so many people are disappointed (somewhat understandably)
It indeed isn't really suitable as a lead single... I would describe it as a decent filler. It's not an "instant hit", although it gets better after the 5th listen I must say....
So mixed feelings here, surprised by the new sound, happy because it's a decent song, but also a bit disappointed because it doesn't blow me away, or gives me the nice feeling I have when listening to an Oasis song...

After 2 listens! I love it! This tune will be a commercial success. Definitely a club track. Works for me.

It's interesting cos' they definitely managed to do something different from Oasis, but I really hope the rest of the album is better than this... this wouldn't go anywhere as a single...
