Anyone got any advice as to how I can get JDownloader to still download all my files when i copy and paste a huge list?? The Rapidshare doesn't allow this and each file has to be done individually??
Cheers in advance.

I've stopped uploading with rapidshare since they moved all my uploaded link on free collector's account to the premium account without asking me. I've never used JDonloader, so don't know how it works. Hope someone else can help you out shakeyourraddoll.

I have no problem downloading link lists. I'm using free download manager.

I've been using jdownloader with RS without problems (other than the usuals, waiting 15 minutes between downloads, no slots available).
check for updates on jdownloader (it should be the last button on the menu). sometimes when hosting sites change some things it requieres a plugin update from the jDownloader folks. for instance a while back mediafire links wouldn't work, it would give you a "plugin out of date" error. and now it works fine
speaking of MF, I can't find those viewers reports you posted about, idledreamer. am I too dumb? where's the link?

speaking of MF, I can't find those viewers reports you posted about, idledreamer. am I too dumb? where's the link? eva, first you'll see norton's 'rating'... at first glance, all looks fine: but, hold on just a sec--- scroll all the way down and look to the bottom right-hand side of the screen.... for the independent reviews : and, a little further: now, see that 'view all reviews on mediafire.com' in blue at the very bottom right-hand corner? click on that, and you'll see pages full of horrors : direct link to this page (and if you scroll down to the bottom here, there are pages and pages of this stuff safeweb.norton.com/reviews?url=mediafire.comnow, if you do a search on 'megaupload' --- and many others--- you'll see the same thing. i have searched them all--- so far it seems the only ones that are 100 % safe are rapidshare and sendspace .... and perhaps multiupload (but not all mirrors, of course) ... BUT ---- DO NOT click on the popups on multiupload, obviously ( i did recently, by accident... and it gave me malware ) just a 'heads up' for you all... i don't want to see any of you good people get hacked, or get stuck with something nasty... knowledge is power! well, none of that is showing on my end, here's a screen capture img691.imageshack.us/img691/5414/20101003152550.jpgI rarely browse them anyway, I try to use jdownloader to grab the links, mainly because of the pop up windows I get with multiupload and megaupload, even though I use adblock

hmmmm... very weird....
keep in mind that even though the official norton rating says a site is 'safe' .... their webcrawler might not have scanned the site recently... there's reason to believe that at one time mediafire was indeed fine... but that seems to have changed... like i said, there's pages upon pages of different people saying the same exact thing (about an intrusion attempt) ... so back when norton did scan the site (whenever that was), it probably was in fact a safe site.
and i have heard about 'adblock' ... is it any good? and would it clash/interfere with other programs, such as webroot w/ spy sweeper, malware anti-malwarebytes, or spybot search & destroy?

more bad stuff about mediafire, this time from macafee's website: (read all reviews, many very similar to those on norton's): www.siteadvisor.com/sites/mediafire.com/msgpageEDIT: also, i forgot to mention a few posts above that hotfile.com seems to be 100 % safe as well... though there are wait times in between downloads, even longer than rapidshare... but perhaps worth it?

In my case (and recently) filefactory and yousendit (our good old friend, remember eva?) are the only ones which doesn't come up with all those pop ups and no warning sign by McAfee.

I've used pretty much all those sites and my laptop is clean, but then I know how to protect is as much as I can, a lot folk don't Anyway, I block out all the shite on these sites by using a little FireFox add-on called NoScript. You can use it to block out all the JavaScipt on any webpage that you don't want. For example I know webby has loads of affiliate ads on here that use JavaScript, but I block them all out and it makes the forum load much faster. Plus of course you should have some sort of anti-virus and anti-spy/adware installed that you should set up to catch anything that gets through from these or any other sites. I know not everybody uses FireFox as their browser but if you do then I suggest that you get NoScript. Also if you are still using IE - get a grip and use something else

globe, just tried NoScript and looks like it's quite useful but at the same time a bit annoying, trying to allow what in some sites because otherwise it won't load alright and so on... but it also blocks tons of stuff you don't even know it's loading. it needs some getting use to I suppose and i have heard about 'adblock' ... is it any good? and would it clash/interfere with other programs, such as webroot w/ spy sweeper, malware anti-malwarebytes, or spybot search & destroy? adblock is an add-on for firefox or chrome which blocks ads by google and all sort of flash publicity. I find it quite useful. it helps sites load faster and you won't see all that crappy ads all over the place. it won't interfere with other programs because it's not a program you install, rather an extension for the browser

Rapidshare is fine on JDownloader now. Strange, must have just needed a day or two to familiarise itself with the new format.
