OK here's the thing normal people like us upload official videos by bands like oasis,beatles,u2 etc isn't it illegal to upload an official video?
im asking because i'd like to create an oasis fan made video of various clips & use a song of em but obviousy original recordings are copyrighted,so could i get in trouble if i did?
does anyone know about all this,i'd rather be sure first, thanks in advance.

I don't know...for your personal use only might be no problem? But still they're all copyrighted, so officially you do need to ask a permission to the record company and writers of the songs I think...

It depends where you live technically. But generally speaking, as part of the "fair use" article in the copyright laws, you can sample any music without the need of direct permission, technically. Additionally, copyright infringement won't be prosecuted in any situation that doesn't involve the making of money. If you post some random video on youTube and get nothing for it, no one cares essentially.
Lastly, Noel has stated repeatedly that he doesn't give a fuck if people nick his songs or whatever, because at least their listening! Prosecution ultimately comes back to the artist, and Noel isn't going to care either way.

ok i've recorded a cover version of a track & used a few pictures throughout a video, but here's some info about my upload im not sure if i should worry about it,i dont know who or how to contatc a record company.
here's the info on copyright about my vid:
What should I do? No action is required on your part. Your video is still available worldwide. In some cases, ads may appear next to your video.
What can I do about my video's status? Please note that the video's status can change if the policies chosen by the content owners change. You may want to check back periodically to see if you have new options available to you.
Under certain circumstances, you may dispute this copyright claim. These are:
¡if the content is mistakenly identified and is actually completely your original creation; ¡if you believe that your use does not infringe copyright (e.g. it is fair use under US law); ¡if you are actually licensed by the owner to use this content.
