Looking though some early OAsis live recordings, I'm a little confused about a few things. For example, there is a live audience recording of Cloudburst apparently from Jan 15th 1992, the first headlining gig at Manchester boardwalk (oddly not listed on the Oasisinet gigography). As far as I know, it is the only recording from this gig and the rest of the setlist is not known. Now I find this on Jim's page, it offers for download a gig I'd always thought was from July 14th 1992 with the usual Lost Tapes setlist. Apparenlty this gig was from the Baordwalk, January 14 1992. Have a look: rkid001.blogspot.com/2010/04/boardwalk-manchester-92.htmlIt also says that the live instrumental version of Fade Away from the Oldham Club 57 gig was actually a fake, pulled from a 1994 US soundcheck. My world has been shaken upside down. Can anyone confirm this or shed some light here?

It wouldn't surprise me. Some of the liner notes for the early Oasis singles are really off. Like I am The Walrus from the CAA single. The liner notes say it was recorded at the Glasgow Cathouse, but was done at the Gleneagles Hotel. Wouldn't surprise me.

Ok so that version of Fade Away has definitely been pulled from the soundcheck of the Uptown Bar, Minneapolis 1994 gig. Don't knwo why someone would do such a thing.
As for the recording of cloudburst, I think it must be mislabelled. Judging by Liams voice, it doesnt sound like it would be from early 1992, especially when you compare it to the recording on the RKidBlog of the January 14th 1992 gig with the usual lost tapes setlist.

I agree with you mkoasis, I think the live recording of Cloudburst has been mislabelled. I'd go with either the 5th of January 1993 or 1st May 1993 if it definitely was recorded in the Boardwalk, as you pointed out the difference in Liam's voice and also due to the song being demoed around this time.
For example studio versions showing up on the "Whatever Demo Tape" believed to be recorded in late '92 / early '93 and of course the "Live Demonstration Tape" which was recorded in Spring 1993 in Liverpool.
