Right I know this is REALLY random but this has bugged me since the day I bought it. The title of this video/dvd is it: Live By The Sea: As in the lyric from (It's Good) To Be Free "It's the little things that make me so happy / All I wanna do is Live By The Sea" Or is it (my inital thoughts) Live By The Sea: As in they are performing next to the sea and they are live. Like I said, I know it's random but I just wondering what it is at last Just for the record, I think there is something special and raw about this gig and I quite adore it, love it and I love the Noel acoustic set. Don't know why they dropped the acoustic set, quite like the nice touch

I think it's just a play on the lyric.

D'Ya know what? That's a good question and it always bugged me. I always thaught it was as in playing 'Live By The Sea' but modboygaz could be rite. Could anyone definitely confirm this?
If I'm wrong that means me and my brother have been calling by the wrong name for about ten years! LOL

I think it's just a play on the lyric. I think this is right. Just like the Noel TCT gig release was called "Dreams we have as children" after the Fade Away lyrics.

It is both (or neither) - it IS a play on the lyric, but is deliberately ambiguous as they were playing live near the sea.

It's most probably an obvious use of the popular lyric. Can i just say that this show was part of a three gig tour. Southend, Paris, Sheffield. Southend gig was filmed and possibly the last ever Oasis gig in such a venue. The Sheffield gig was at the Arena. 10'000 sell out. Mental. Fans going wild. Barriers being climbed over. Don't Look Back in Anger played for the first time at Sheffield. Tony Mc Carroll left the band the next day. One week later Some Might Say went to the number one slot in the UK singles chart. This period was huge for Oasis. Huge! Six weeks later they were headlining Glastonbury! Good times!! A golden era!

I would think it's 'Live' as in playing live by the sea - just a clever play on a lyric.
