Listening to Time Flies, its nice to see a solid representation of their early and later days, which werent well represented on STC.
Now there is no doubt that the songs from the 90s will always be the iconic ones, the classics that changed the musical and cultural landscape.
And there is no doubt that later albums were sometimes plagued by what ppl call "self sabotage"...ie choosing inferior songs for the album when superior ones existed.
But still, I feel like the songs from the second half of their career are absolutely terrific and mean just as much to me, as a fan, than their classic era singles.
Go Let It Out, Who Feels Love, Sunday Morning Call, The Hindu Times, Stop CryingYour Heart Out, Little By Little, She Is Love, Songbird, Lyla, TIOBI, Let There Be Love, LDSMD, TSOTL, I'm Outta Time, Falling Down...these are great songs, and blwo the pants off any other band in the 2000-2010 years.
Your thoughts?

My thoughts are Supersonic and Falling Down. Just like Noel pointed out about them being the bookends of their careers, it really is amazing to listen to those two! loud! do it! lol.

Aside from She Is Love, the singles are fantastic. I'll even give Little By Little a pass as it was great to hear it again after so long.

Your thoughts? True, The difference is that the early albums where all song by song great ones. later albums had to many fillers in my opinion, and some songs could have been better if they had worked on it a bit more then they did. By the way, the biggest problem is: the early stuff was new and refreshing for it's time. But instead of staying fresh and all that, they just sticked to the old stuff, and re-played themselfs, always wanting to make a second DM, which could never been done anyway, you just cant make a second debut album ...
