What b-side would have missed out on each single? What I mean is, from 1999 onwards the rule made Oasis and other bands out there only have 2 b-sides instead of the three. What would have bene your choice to miss out? Here's mine: Supersonic: I Will Believe (only because I understand why the Columbia demo is b-side considering how it was the first thing anybody had heard from Oasis on radio 1) Shakermaker: Bring It On Down (because, even though I love it, I think having two new songs as b-side rather than one that was a demo and ended up on Definitely Maybe. This is different to the Columbia demo) Live Forever: Supersonic (live) (live track of the first single would miss out but it was a tough choice between this and Up In The Sky acoustic) Cigarettes & Alcohol: I Am The Walrus (live) (this is one of the tougher ones, I chose it in the end because I didn't wanna lose Listen Up or Fade Away) Whatever: Slide Away (easy one this, Slide Away was on the album and I would have Half The World Away and (It's Good) To Be Free left on it) Some Might Say: Headshrinker (this was another tough one for me, love the entire thing but in the end it had to be Headshrinker as the other two are just classics) Roll With It : Live Forever (live) (pretty easy, drop the live track for two new tracks) Wonderwall: The Swamp Song (no contest again. Can't lose Masterplan or Round Are Way really for an instrumental track. Espically as it had featured, albeit briefly, on the album) Don't Look Back in Anger: Step Out (tough one, only chose this as Underneath The Sky is so underated even by me, and the cover of Cum On Feel The Noise is just brilliant as far as I am concerned) D'Yer Know What I Mean?: Heros (drop the cover for the two tracks of Angel Child and the brilliant Stay Young) Stand By Me: My Sister Lover (just never been THAT into this one and (I Got) The Fever and Going Nowhere are just, well, better) All Around The World: Street Fighting Man (easy for me to be honest as I have never really been into this cover) Ok so yeah I am bored but I wonder what yours would be?? EDIT: Of course, by doing this, the tracks would be saved...not that we would have ever heard them lol

Just look at the 12" vinyl tracklists. That will tell right away what the band would have left off.

This is pretty easy... B-sides are all about new material, and there's at least one odd one out for each single they've released in their earlier days.
#1) "Supersonic" - ("Take Me Away", "I Will Believe" (Live), "Columbia" (White Label Demo)) #2) "Shakermaker" - ("D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman?", "Alive" (8-track Demo), "Bring It On Down" (Live)) #3) "Live Forever" - ("Up in the Sky" (Acoustic), "Cloudburst", "Supersonic" (Live)) #4) "Cigarettes & Alcohol" - ("I Am the Walrus" (Live), "Listen Up", "Fade Away") --- #5) "Whatever" - ("(It's Good) To Be Free", "Half the World Away", "Slide Away") --- #6) "Some Might Say" - ("Talk Tonight", "Acquiesce", "Headshrinker") #7) "Roll With It" - ("It's Better People", "Rockin' Chair", "Live Forever" (Live at Glastonbury '95)) #8) "Wonderwall" - ("Round Are Way", "The Swamp Song", "The Masterplan") #9) "Don't Look Back in Anger" - ("Step Out," "Underneath the Sky", "Cum On Feel the Noize") --- #10) "D'You Know What I Mean?" - ("Stay Young", "Angel Child" (Demo), "Heroes") #11) "Stand by Me" - ("(I Got) The Fever", "My Sister Lover", "Going Nowhere") #12) "All Around the World" - ("The Fame", "Flashbax", "Street Fighting Man") #13) "Don't Go Away" - ("Cigarettes & Alcohol" (Live from GMEX, Manchester '97), "Sad Song", "Fade Away" (Warchild Version))

Headshrinker is their best b-side. Really? I think there are loads better. My personal favourites (and they are some of my favourite Oassi tunes ever) is Listen Up, Rockin Chair and of course, The Masterplan.

Rockin' Chair is great but Headshrinker is the sort of punk rock classic that makes me ponder what this band could've been. They never recaptured the attitude of that song.
The Masterplan's a bit cheesy really innit. I mean it's good and pisses over most of Be Here Now but if it had've been a single or on Morning Glory or whatever you just know people would cry "overrated" like they do with Wonderwall and DLBIA.

people would cry "overrated" like they do with Wonderwall and DLBIA.I've never heard anyone that said Don't Look Back in Anger was over rated. Maybe its cos i'm from the states but I always thought that it was one of those tunes just about everybody loved. I mean i can see Wonderwall being over rated but DLBIA is just so classic. Maybe cos DLBIA is just as big or maybe bigger than Wonderwall back in England.

Only Oasis fans call Wonderwall overrated and if you call Don't Look Back In Anger overrated please kindly fuck off. Headshrinker is good but it's not even the best song on the single it was released on. In fact, it's the 4th best song on the SMS single.

it's the 4th best song on the SMS single. Wrong. Some Might Say I'll give you but, as for the other two, not a chance.

Headshrinker is their best b-side. Seeing as it and Some Might Say are on the same disc makes that single release the best thing they ever put out.

In terms of b-sides, Some Might Say is probably their 3rd best single, IMO. With Cigarettes & Alcohol at #1 and Don't Look Back In Anger at #2.
