Since Oasis imploded in August, the singer has been busy launching his clothing line Pretty Green.
But Oasis Mark Two are also working on new songs and Liam, 37, wants every moment caught on camera.
A source told me: “With so many changes in his life Liam decided it would be a good idea to have a record of them.
“He’s got someone filming what he’s working on and that includes the new band making their album, as well as his fashion commitments.
“At the moment he doesn’t know what he’ll do with the footage but if there’s enough demand it could end up being a DVD alongside the new album.”
Liam has already said he hopes to be back on the live music circuit by summer 2010, with a record under his belt. Former Oasis lads Gem Archer, 43, Andy Bell, 39, Chris Sharrock, 45, and Jay Darlington, 41, are all on board the new outfit, which could keep the Oasis moniker.
My source continued: “Liam is fed up with people thinking Noel was the brains behind the group.
“By filming studio sessions, fans can see how hard he works and how involved he is in the creative process.
“Liam takes his job very seriously and isn’t afraid at letting the cameras poke their lenses in to prove it.”
Business will resume after a Christmas break. Meanwhile, Noel has been shy to confirm any plans for solo music.
It’s unlikely the squabbling brothers will mend their feud anytime soon either.
Personally, I’m looking forward to what Liam conjures up. He’s one of the best rock ’n’ roll stars of this generation.

Although the sources for this aint too reliable, I think it could have some truth behind it.
Seems like the kinda thing he would do and he has been making sure there has been plenty of Pretty Green Coverage, with the Launch Party, visit to Italy and the recent trips to London & Manchester etc.
I'd love it if they did that, sounds like the new band have such a great togetherness and atmosphere in the studio and with each other, bring it on Liam, I'd have one for sure.

If the songs are still as mediocre as usual, this documentary or whatever is still worthless... wait for the music people, and Liam is yet to prove himself as a great songwriter

GGTIA is another top tune, SO great aswell. I'm not gonna list them all up again but he can do it.

I really hope this is true, i love things like the Gold and Silver and Sunshine/Can Y See It Now documentries so this is fantastic news for me. Ive got a feeling this album will suprise us all, i mean its not going to be DM/MG but i think it can be at least as good as DBTT

I love GGTIA, like Songbird, Pass me Down the wine is decent and think SO is very good, but the fact is he's light years away from Noel's level. IMO, this 'new' band is Andy Bell's opportunity to shine

Isn't the video of him dancing from Lord Don't Slow Me Down? I'm fairly certain I've seen it before.

lol Well, it seems Liam is really takign all this seriously and good for him. I've said it before, but Liam's energy and excitement is very contagious. I almost don't care what the name of the band will be. Almost. But regarding the music, I have no doubt that they've perfectly capable. Side 2 of DBTT is one of my favourite 'sides' of an Oasis album and I think thats what we can expect. As someoen said, this is also Andy's time to really shine. Noel will be jealous

This is all fine by me. Bring on the cameras, lets see Rkid hard at work and doing his thing. Throughout the years he has indeed received A LOT of flack for allegedly being the "thick" one between him and Noel. I think this is a great way to redeem himself and show us, he's running on a full tank of gas. TEAM LIAM or TEAM NOEL TEAM OASIS!!!!!

Oh yeah because Oasis have never released a documentary with an album or stand alone DVD. This is really new and exciting.
