I think he'd manage Shakermaker with his current voice tbh.
He'd murder most of The Masterplan though. Rockin Chair, Listen Up, Headshrinker, and Listen Up for example.
From more recent times then Stop Crying Your Heart Out.

She's Electric, I Hope I Think I Know, Digsy's Dinner and Up in the Sky would be painful to listen to if he tried to sing them now.

I used to think there were certain songs Liam could no longer perform live but after hearing Liam sing Slide Away on the recent tour, I don't know if that's true since Slide Away is one of there hardest songs to sing. I'm thinking the song Shakermaker though, I doubt he can pull that off anymore, that song was hard to sing back in 1994. used to think the exact same way about Slide Away wonder if he can still hold Some Might Say

Slide Away he murders it everytime he sings it, and I hope a person doesnt find the one random good performance from the DOYS tour of Slide Away and say "Look Liam's voice is getting better, Slide Away is the sure sign."

Exactly. Took the words out of my mouth. If the OP wants to save us all some time, then he'll change the question to 'What songs do you think Liam can still sing?' That list would be much shorter . . .

what the hell do you want him to sound like? I expect him to be able to sustain a note for more than a split second. His vocals have been horrible since 2003.

honestly, it'd be hard to come up with a more appaling sounding front man of any band that's had their legs under em for awhile.
massive, massive fan, I just live in reality.
I'm outta time is absolutely dreadful live, btw. I stopped watching electric proms because of it.
it's an abomination.

Maybe he struggles with I'm Outta Time, but try singing it yourself. It's not that easy

^ well, because I'm a good singer, I can handle it with ease. Liam cannot (and never really has been able to) "sing", so it's an issue.
As Noel put it (brilliantly of course) in LDSMD: "I'm the better singer, he has a better voice".
dead on.

btw, I'm not bragging about my ability to sing. AFAIC, it's like boasting that you're tall...you either are/can or you're not/can't.

He doesn't sing now, he shouts in tune. It's a marked improvement on 2005 where he shouted out of tune, but still cack.

But why perform a song you struggle with?
what they should have done is keep detuning some songs to match liams vocals more easily. Some Might Say, D'you know what I mean? and My Big Mouth are examples of this.

I wouldn't like to hear Liam "trying" to sing Stay Young. He'd absolutely murder it.

Q: You how you know someone isn't a good lead singer?
A: When there are multiple discussions throughout the internet in regards to whether or not he/she can sing certain songs live . . .

But why perform a song you struggle with?
what they should have done is keep detuning some songs to match liams vocals more easily. Some Might Say, D'you know what I mean? and My Big Mouth are examples of this. c'mon... noel's been putting the setlist together with smoke and mirrors over the last two tours... in 2005 they dropped s.c.y.h.o. , a live belter/anthem, because liam could not sing it. they did not perform 'k.t.d.a.' (a song that noel was heralding as "a song that will become a live classic') because liam couldn't sing it. instead, we kept on getting the 'meaning of souls' and 'songbirds' and 'wonderwalls' over and over and over, because they were in liam's comfort zone. same reason why we didn't get bag it up and the turning live during this tour! noel saying 'we just couldn't get it right' because he didn't want to piss liam off by saying, 'he can't sing them'. and probably why 'gas panic' wasn't added as well... liam would murder it live today, sure ,, he performed the song brilliantly back in the s.o.t.s.o.g. tour, but that was 9-10 years ago now, when he could still hold a note. (wow, was it really that long ago? i feel old.)

on this last tour liams sounded quality, the dbtt tour he was bad an this even showed on the album cos his voice wasnt great on that but on doys his vocals were quality an can see the difference, are you telling me he was shit in the rehearsals?the south american gigs?japan?the u.k stadium tour?cos i dont think he was ,the prob is his stance, whenever he reverts back to his old stance his old vocal comes back but it puts alot of strain on his vocals,he was carrying the notes alot better towards the end of the tour an it looks to be quite clear that hes been told to drop off towards the end of each line, thats a commmon technique,an what aload of bollox that he murders im outta time!!its quality live, you try belting out them notes in liams style over an over, not to mention over a fuckin 50 piece choir an full band.daft as fuck some people.an he was only really wuality for half of the heathen chem tour.he sounded just as good on the recent one.who ever said they didnt do keep the dream alive cos of liam?yeh they dropped scyho then but hed get it now with ease
