I don't think it will for a while. I just can't believe it. At all.

i can't say i'm totally surprised, but it still totally sucks. It hasn't really sunk in for me, and might not for a long time.

They'll be back.
And if they don't come back, we've still got the music and the memories, haven't we? Instead of moping around miserably, I reckon we should be celebrating the good times. And I believe there are many more good times to be had!

nobody died, people. some of you are acting like michael jakcosn's fans after he died. hopefully nobody literally kills themselves over this (though it would raise the world population's i.q. average a point or two.)

They'll be back! Give it a few years, some time off, maybe some solo stuff but they'll always make music together!

Maybe its for the best. The last few times I have seen them live they have looked like they would rather be anywhere else than where they were. They looked bored, uninspired and going through the motions. Put in the There and Then DVD you will see a band that was truly mad for it. Filled with energy ready to take on all comers. Then watch any concert from the last 5 years especially the MTV Live performance or any youtube footage of any concert in the states and although the sound is great the lack of energy is sad. This is a band that makes great music and can do it in their sleep. Sadly at most of the shows thats the vibe that they put off. I think the split should have happened 5 to 7 years ago. It may be the thing that rejuvenates both Noel and Liam. Maybe a solo album will bring back the fire.

I agree with you about the live performances - they were so dull, bar iTunes gig, this time round. But I never want them to split - and DBTT and DOYS were solid albums so say the least. And there's a handful of gems still be worked on and released like RM and STC. Hopefully the boys will be back.

Dont think it has yet. Got totally smashed saturday (wasn't gonna even drink) to drown my sorrows. Listened to Oasis non-stop since Friday night, absolutely gutted.
Remembering the good times though.

Just sinking in now but it feels really wierd. I put on Standing On The Shoulders of Giants on from "Where Did It All Go Wrong" through to"Roll It Over" full blast when I heard on Friday night, then got smashed on Saturday!
The NME have made it kinda final for the whole country now with their RIP cover though.
I might even have to get my haircut now, y'know? To quote The Who.."move with the fashion or be outcast"

After the initial suicidal thinking, I am now seeing the positives. I have been longing to hear a Noel solo album for some time and I don't think that could ever happen while Noel is still in Oasis. I mean, he's been hinting at it since 2000 but always insisted he only said it to wind Liam up, privately knowing that Liam would actually flip if Noel put his younger bro on the shelf for a year or two to do something without him. Now, without Liam looking over his shoulder, Noel can finally do the album he's clearly been wanting to do for ages. Once that's out of his system he'll calm down and rejoin Oasis within 5 years. I'd put my house on it. Even though I don't own a house.

it hasn't sunk in yet, still foolishly believe they will back together 2morro, if they did get back together 2morro, the resentment would still be there, maybe it's best they do take a break, this is the longest period iv gone without listen to Oasis, just can't bring myself to do it, although knowbody has died, part of my soul has.

It's not like they're both going to disappear off the face of the earth. I'm quite excited, we'll finally get to see what else they have in their locker.
