www.gameinformer.com/News/Story/200908/N09.0831.1202.54024.htmAccording to this article (and a few other places) a live version of Supersonic is being released as a Rock Band DLC today. I'm looking forward to playing it, hopefully it's not from the last couple of tours, it'll be more enjoyable to play a sped up version. And multitracks! EDIT: And there's a few videos already up on youtube Does anyone know what specific gig that's from? It sounds like it's from late 94...

its not 94 man. That is Whitey on the drums. It doesn't sound like FTM version either. My bet is 95-97

It's Glastonbury 1995 (and how I managed to ID that era is proof my obsession isn't dead yet ) Don't think there's much chance of multitracks cos Rock Band hasn't been cracked yet.

Ah hah, yes, Glastonbury! It's interesting how they got the track, but I definitely didn't expect it. =D
Nah, I'm pretty sure we can see a multitrack for this show up soon. This was released online, in the same manner as the previous batch of Oasis songs, and this can be played on both games it seems.

No. Rock Band 1 (with RNRS, Wonderwall, DLBIA and Live Forever) was cracked and we got the multitracks for that, as were the Guitar Hero games. But Rock Band 2, which is what this is part of, hasn't been cracked, there's been tons of releases since December which no-one's managed to get the multitracks for yet. Shame cos the new Beatles game is part of the Rock Band family and will therefore be rock hard to crack open.

i fucking hate rock band why not just learn an instrument instead of pretending to? Because its a fun thing to do and gets people into different music.. if you have any care for music you will know that this is a good thing.. Learning an instrument and people playing a game with music is completley different dont be such a fag.

i fucking hate rock band why not just learn an instrument instead of pretending to? Same reason people go to church instead of reading the book by themselves.

Playing and instrument isn't for everybody. With games like these people are getting into music and can feel like they are playing their favorite song but don't have to go through the trouble of learning it. Of course I'd rather play guitar but this game is harmless fun and I understand that some people don't wanna learn guitar.

Clearly just the vocals (if even) are from a live performance, possibly the bass but I doubt it. The drumming and guitar is not from a live Oasis gig

Let me step on me soapbox for a moment...
I am a shitty fucking guitar player. I could get better with practice, but I'm 35 years old, with job, wife, kids, life, and other responsibilities. I really don't have the time to become a great guitar player or to join a band.
I am a pretty damn good Rock Band and Guitar Hero player. What the game gives me, is that sense of being in a band, cracking out that solo to a big arena full of people and having them scream for more. Its harmless fun in the context of a game. The game gives you that feeling. Even if I were to get serious about learning to play the guitar, at my age, I've got no illusions of hitting the road and playing to arenas full of people. Even great guitarists, people who have spent their entire lives playing have never made it as an actual rock star. In fact, I would guess that most guitar players never make it out of the local pub or coffeehouse.
I don't think anyone who has actually played the game thinks that they are going to be the next Jimi Hendrix, although I'm sure the game has inspired more than 1 person to pick up an instrument. I look at it as more of a Rock Star simulator than an actual musical instrument simulator, and I am truly befuddled as to why it offends the sensibilities of actual musicians who are really good.
