People can knock all they like but surely it shows something when a band who's first album came out 15 years old are still regurlarly on the cover of NEW Musical Express.

I believe Oasis are the most cover artist in the 50th year history of the NME. The Smiths, Beatles, Nivarna and Radiohead have all been covered numerous occasions. I still say Oasis are the most covered. As for tomorrow's issue. There will be no new information. Just a print out of Noel's statement. Followed by a historic review of the Oasis history. I will still buy it...............

Yeah probably nothing new, but the front cover of NME saying RIP is pretty final!

Or have a link for buying one online without the whole subscription? NME seems difficult to find on eBay without being ridiculously priced. Thanks in advance if anyone has any advice!

That's cos it sells magazines. As much as I love seeing Oasis on the front cover, newer bands should be given that time of exposure more often.

so rushed reading and leeds was obviously intended to be cover
if they had split earlier last week it would be a proper job

no new information, except it says that noel has already booked studio time to record a solo album but i for one am not sure how trueful that statement is It's probably just another one of NME half-truths. Noel may have had studio time booked in advanced for whatever reason which isn't uncommon. NME just decided to print a vague statement so that we would be lead to believe that it was specifically for a solo album and was scheduled just a few days ago following his departure.
