You know that song that has been mentioned way back since 2002? Well I was looking at articles from this website from way back then and mattmightsay has this to say about the song:
"Revival - A song written by noel, 17 words, chorus of 'come on', rocky sounding. "...a bit like Louie Louie, but a bit more Sex Pistols."
Now I was just wondering, because the chorus includes 'come on', that this may have possibly turned into The Turning? Perhaps more probable is that this song may be the unheard 'Come On, It's Alright'?
Also, get a load of this from the same article:
"Slow - A song that ex-Oasis producer Owen Morris described as "beautiful" in September 97's issue of Q magazine, unreleased and only known public performanceis in a guitar shop during in a bomb scare along with 5 other tracks, though Noel has mentioned it's unlikely to be on new lp as it's not really an Oasis style track. "
Not an Oasis style song, so in all probability it will very well likely end up on his solo album (whenever he makes that).

Doubt it was the Turning. Unless you think that sounds like Louie Louie but in all seriousness I think that there are a million of Noel's half-finished or simply "unfit" chunes that we are going to be waiting on. Maybe for a solo album. Maybe. We'll see

Revival is a fucking good title though. I don't think he ever finished it cos i remember reading an interview and he said it was just a rockin song or something.

somewhere in europe wasnt it, there was a bomb scare in the town and they closed all the roads off, Noel decided to go in a music shop where he picked up a guitar and played a couple tunes while they could go anywhere

I never really understand that notion that Noel repeatedly says that a song isn't "Oasis sounding" enough. I think it'd be nice if he made a genuine gamble and released these un-Oasisey songs. Should make for a very interesting listen. (Not criticising the new 'Oasis-style' songs however).

Well, as I pointed out recenlty in another thread... many of the best Oasis songs of the past 5 years have been "unOasisy"
TIOIB, Part of the Queue, TUTS, Eyeball Tickler, TBWTL, WFTR, Bag It Up, Soldier On, Falling Down....

I heard he wanted to sell a bunch of tunes to Ronan Keating as they were too 'country' for Oasis....?

I hate the fucking premise that a tune *has* to be "Oasis sounding" before they'll give it a go.
