WTF is that animal? half monkey half donkey? As a liberal, I say its all fair game. In the spirit of the constitution and the first amendment, there should be no difference between making fun of a white president or a black president, whatever color their skin is, or a president with big ears, a big gut, a short president, thin, fat. President Bush got beat up for years with monkey comparisons. Not only for intelligence, but his physical appearance.

... except in Obama's case it can be argued that there's a history of slave owners and segregationists degrading African Americans by calling them monkeys. That was the central issue in this controversey: www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/02/18/new-york-post-chimp-carto_n_167841.htmlNot that I even remotely agree with that, because it wasn't the cartoonist's fault people got upset by not knowing Pelosi/Congress wrote the bill. On one hand, it's legitimate to say it's offensive to draw a black man as a chimp, for whatever the actual intent may be. But historical grievances aside, it's ironic that Bush was drawn as a chimp over his appearance, something he had no more control over than he would if he was black.
