Nope. Why would Noel even do this? It was a mere soundcheck.

a soundcheck is just that: a soundcheck. its the only time while touring that the band get to just jam and mess about musically. we should read nothing more into than that.

Yeah, you're right. When you're on the road you don't have rehearsal space for electric jams. It's easy to sit around with an acoustic guitar or whatever but you don't get to really put it all together electrically unless you can get on stage and that's what they've been doing.

Didn't the band play 2 or 3 songs from Be Here Now a year prior to its release at Knebworth?
It would be nice, but I agree that it's unlikely.

I wouldnt be so cynical about such a suggestion, at this day and age Im never sure what to expect from this band, which has resulted in a rebirth of my love for this band.

Think about it, Noel mentioned how he had the whole album written by the time DOYS was released, and any talk of it they always sound excited about it, and alot more than they seem to have been about DOYS. The enthusiasm toward DOYS is a reflection on the record. And Noel is so keen on these knew songs, then he might fancy treating us to some new songs!

Dave Sardy said that he thought these new Noel songs were 'fantastic' and that they 'should record them now'. Well Sardy, maybe they would of been able to record them if you hadn't told the band to go all fucking 'groove'.

Do you think they'd be "finished" enough at this point? I'm thinking arrangements and such. I somehow doubt Noel anno 2009 would play material that hasn't been officially confirmed let alone in finished form. He just doesn't seem spontaneous enough these days. Before you yell Don't Look Back In Anger and Stop the Clocks; Stop The Clocks was played in a tiny club not a big stadium and Don't Look Back In Anger was what, 14-15 years ago?

there seems to be a monumental resurgence with Oasis at the moment
whats happened? Liams got his clothing range so maybe thats making him relax on stage, and the video of him in Hong Kong is how he used to be just being mental on stage
Whats Happened? Noel seems to be ammassing these collossal tunes, hopefully for the next album (not a solo)
Whats Happened? regearsal footage etc of new tunes being rehearsed
all of this and I'm definitely boyant about the band right now

Even if the songs arent finished, whats the difference, oasis never sound much like they do in studio when playing live..

Liam being "mental" is normally a sign something's up, the infamous 2nd night at Wembley came shortly before the announcement that he and Patsy were getting divorced - this time Noel is the attention of his annoyance. What were those hints by the Riddler again....?
