I was dissapointed to hear that DOYS is unlikely to have big orchestras in it, but as long as the songs are mint, then I don't care.
However, I think Noel is saving up songs like Record Machine, To Love and That One On Lord Don't Slow Me Down (unlikely title, more likely 'If There's A God') to have strings all over it.
I love Whatever, All Around The World, Who Put The Weight of the World On My Shoulders and The Masterplan - all contain strings or brass. It gives an epic feel to the songs, I think.
Also, I think the tour should consist of orchestras again. The Masterplan still sounds great in whatever form, but the strings are artificial on Jay Darlington's keyboard - which isn't the same.
What do you think? Do you think the album after DOYS will have orchestras? Do you WANT them?

i'd want them if the songs called for them, but not 'just because,' if you know what i mean. and as far as touring with orchestras is concerned, that is mighty expensive.

I think some of the songs on DBTT would have been better with some strings and/or brass on em, like GGTIA or KTDA perhaps. I like the treatment of SCYHO tho, the strings are there, but they dont overpower the song.

I hope Noel throws the orchestra back into his music for the next album, and I think he will. I thought he said he was gonna do that for this album, But the next album will call for it. Stop the Clocks and Record Machine etc could use some strings. SCYHO is amazing, the strings are amazing, they should do that again

I love the full orchestra feel - the songs come across as just richer and more dynamic; makes the anthems sound colossal and the ballads really special.
