Good to see TSOTL constantly on US radio. Hopefully the album is big in America. I've been an Oasis fanatic for about two years now, so missed hype on the other albums. How does the hype on this one compare with the previous ones (exluding DM, MG and BHN).

Some new info i think: The album begins with the two-chord dirge "Bag It Up", harking back to "Columbia," from the band's 1994 debut, "Definitely Maybe." It is followed by the insistent "The Turning," which winds its way down to "Blackbird"-style finger-picking and an outtro of passing traffic and car alarms. The sludgy, Noel Gallagher sung-"Waiting for the Rapture" nods to the Beatles' "Come Together," while the clap-and-stomp blues rock of "(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady" and the boogie vibe of "The Nature of Reality" extend the back-to-basics feel of the album. Elsewhere, the Liam Gallagher-penned "I'm Outta Time" incorporates an audio excerpt of a John Lennon BBC Radio interview just days before his 1980 death www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003840703

Dirge, insistent, and sludgy....not exactly high praise for those songs...

Dirge, insistent, and sludgy....not exactly high praise for those songs... Dirge and insistent aren't really negative. sludgy....maybe.

also, "back to basics" whut? everything we've heard is that it's not back to basics at all.

Yeah! I was surprised that the local rock station here in Northern California is spinning Oasis! I heard Champagne Supernova today getting ready for work and it was awesome to hear TSOTL as I was on the highway!
It's getting radio play so I'm all for it!!

TSOTL was #5 on the 'People's Choice Countown' on KNDD (107.7 The End) in Seattle today. Was rocking out in my car right after I got off work, but then Coldplay was #4......
