Sorry if this isn't news: www.nme.com/news/oasis/39047"It's not Britpop, let's put it that way. It's not our usual thing," he explained. "It's just really exciting, three of the tracks have got two drummers on, me and Zak [Starkey] playing drums. Some of it sounds a bit glam. There's no pop singles on it. I'd be amazed if anything else gets on the radio past the first single." Also: "There's a kind of piano-y, John Lennon-y obligatory plod-away song in the middle, which Liam wrote," he said, "and that's to break up the two sides which are pretty intense, and it's full-on from the start to finish." I know some people haven't been impressed with TSOTL, but the Falling Down reaction seems to be pretty good. One friend who knows Oasis tunes but isn't familiar with all their B-sides, etc. said that Falling Down is "very subdued, different from an Oasis track where you're expecting a bombast (his word) of sound". He liked it though, was impressed with both leaked tracks.

The second part is new for me.... and totally agree... TSOTL it's a great tune, but nothing in particular to be impressed... in other hand I think Falling is more and more amazing each day that goes by....

I've seen it, but at least it isn't that 'groove' quote, where Noel talks about the immediacy of TSOTL, and how it's basically a demo. I think I've read that damn quote at least 50 times in different articles.

So nothing past TSOTL will most likely not make radio? Atleast Noel is telling the truth. Is this is a bit upsetting to hear to anyone else? Noel was definitley NOT trying to make an album for the masses then, this album's for the fans

a couple people and NME have stated that Liam's I'm outta time is a beautiful song. And its the next single. TSOTL won't do much in the states, but IOT might.

I agree oasis, it'll probably be an album for the fans; he's at the stage of his career where that's what it's all about. They'll always chart high in the UK and they'll always have people seeing them on tour, and without being tied into Sony, the pressure is off them.

As long as TSOTL gets proper airplay (which it seems to be getting) and some good time on MTV/VH1 it should be the most successful Oasis single since the 90s. Whether it will or not is the question, but the potential (which hasn't been there for the past few albums) is there now.
As for DOYS being for the fans, that's exactly how I'd want it.
