If you're just buying one to try it out I suggest you get one in the key of either A or C and go for a wooden one because they sound better/warmer in my opinion

if you buy a harmonica, buy a hohner. they're the best around imo.

The Blues Harp (Hohner) is the way to go. The price is right, it's an indistry standard, and it's all Paul Weller uses (minus his chromatic, which is like $200). Plus, it's partially wooden, so it's a warmer sound and wont rust.
