ye, i recon its a good guitar, a bit better than the supernova i think. do you use it for rock at high volume, because thats what i think is wrecking youre pickups. If you want to play loud rock with a lot of feedback from the amp, get a centreblock guitar, because the Sheraton is an hollow body, which is good for acoustic, and moderate amplification. Noell actually uses a Dot, which has a centreblock, so thats why he canplay it real loud.

Noel has never used a dot. he has really only used rivieras, es 335, and custom jobs on tour. Dots are cheap pieces of shit that band like queens of the of the stone age use. The sheraton, es 335, epi riviera, they are all very similar in their bodies. The hardware is what makes them different. The sheraton has jazz style humbuckers, but throw in some classic '57s and you'll have the same sound as noel's supernova. I own a sheraton II and this is what I have done. It sounds great, especially witha good amp. The rivieras are really nice too with their mini humbuckers if you like that sound (think strokes). DO NOT buy a dot, like I said they suck and you'll be laughed off the stage. Rivieras, and sheratons are like es 335s just hundreds less with minor hardware changes.

I've got a Dot.. it's an Epiphone modelled on the 335... but mine has Humbuckers (it's a Limited Edition one) and also has a Flametop Finish.. cost about £50 less than my Supernova
if you can get a 'tarted up' Dot they can be pretty good

I had Classic 57's put on my Sheraton and like how they sound. I'd give them a try.

I've never played on a Sheraton.... but I have a 1998 Riviera with some nice humbuckers in it
It sounds fantastic with a lot of drive (as a rhythm guitar) (I can't play lead). And clean sounds beautiful, too!

Hi, well just as an opinion about the mini-humbuckers, I can say they sound very nice and the have a beautifull tone. It's true that this kindda humbuckers don't have much output. But I can assure you that's not a problem when you have a nice amp. 3 years ago, a was lucky enough to build my own guitar, at vancouver. And I was fourtunate, because a good friend of mine, Paul Iverson (he has built guitars for Jimmy page, the Edge, Nickelback, aerosmith and has done guitar work for all) helped me with all the set up. Well even though my guitar is not a hollow body guitar,( it is a copy I made of a firebird inspired by Mr. Gem Archer .) I can tell that the mini-humbuckers are very nice and I wouldn't change the sound for anything, I have a fender hot rod deluxe which is an amazing amp for studio and for live performance. It is also a neat choice if you're looking for amps. So If I was you I would hear to travis( andy dunlop, uses lespaul deluxe which have mini-humbuckers) and I whould also recommend the Kings of Leon, the singer uses mini humbucker on a hollow body gibson(not sure what kind it is) but it sounds amazing, and also the sound of the DBTT tour was that neat because gem used a riviera with mini's on it in most of the songs. If you are looking for a flexible tone this is the one. This is for anyonoe who's looking for a guitar

yup gotta agree with most of whats being said here...
i've owned my sheraton II for about six years and absolutely love everything about it....
if i didnt have the sheraton i think i'd get the riviera with the mini's and the frequensator tailpiece....
just my humble 2 cents worth.....
PS. yeah noel has never used a DOT... not since he's been in Oasis anyway
Cheers.
