the yamaha's are good to start with. good price and pretty good for its price.
it all depends on what you wanna spend. just go to the shop and try a few. buy the one that you think is best (for its price)

martin or gibson if you got the money. if you dont wanna spend loads then just go for an epiphone, takamine, yamaha, taylor, guild...

depends on your price range. if you can afford $1000 US or more, go straight for Martins, Taylors or Gibsons. if you can't, try Epiphones (cheaper versions of Gibsons), Takamines.

i want a epiphone acoustic similar to noels lookswise anyone know good place to buy apart from ebay hoping to spend no more than £300 cheers

does anyone know the model name of that epiphone which has the flowery design on the body? hummingbird no i think he means the frontier (F-110) thats the one he plays at jools 2000. im looking for it too, but cant find it anywhere. the hummingbord is only 260euro though. pretty cheap for such a great guitar. although the sunburst finish cant beat the gibson honeyburst.

oh ya the Epi Hummingbird is awesome! I also have an Epi PR-100 that I take on trips etc.. that despite being so cheap really plays well. Is this your first guitar?
