people didn't like my cover of Married With Children, and looking back on it now, (as I am listening to it) it's really half assed.
So I am trying again with Dont Go Away, no drummer. just acoustic guitar+ vocals with electric overdub.
tell me what you think. I hope I did better this time.
EDIT: Link Removed. I Give Up.

Well... It's reasonable music, but why does the solo has so little effect? And you should put more in your singing! I think you CAN do it, but you sound a bit like a lazy guy. Just keep workin' and you'll do fine.

guys. i just turned 13. let's take a guess as to what is happening to my voice.
but if people just don't like my stuff a whole lot, then I won't post anymore. I do appreciate the feedback, though. I don't want to only be told how bad it is. I'm not angry or anything, just a little disappointed.

Dont let negative comments stop you, I guess its part and parcel of letting people hear your stuff.

Indeed. It is, as my old old music teacher told me on a very rainy Thursday afternoon, the most important to dare to sing and play. After you dare it, you can learn it. So don't stop daring it and get your ass on stage!

Sorry if some of the comments from me and the others have been harsh but the drumming on Married With Children really was comically bad so its hard to get away from that.... But at 13 you're doing fine mate. i remember what i sounded like at that age.... and i dont sound much better now! lol Seriously though just keep practicing every day as much as you can and you'll improve hugely. Its all about practice. You should spend your time just playing rather than bothering to record it. Get the basics right before putting your stuff out to us lot. That way you'll avoid sarcastic comments from me ;D and improve your playing! But anyway - dont go away was a lot better than married with children. Although the electric guitar was too loud and inappropriate in a lot of places. But the rest was ok

Dude, you're lucky. My band and most of the people i play music with hate Oasis, The Stone Roses and all the other stuff i like... savor the moment of being able to play and record good songs!

keep posting those recordings!
don't let these guys get to you (they have to remember you're not liam gallagher), just prove them wrong and show them what you've got.
my note: work on the arrangements, and wait a while for your voice to get a bit more used to the changes.

I didn't think it was that bad. Never stop recording! Who cares what other people say as long as you have fun playing
