well its supposed to be the thing that replaces radio. it was created by adam curry (used to be a host on mtv), as he wanted to create a way to get high definition video through low bandwidth internet. basically what it is is an evlution of radio. you get a podcasting program (ipodder, doppler) and sign up for feeds. The most popular ones are Adam Currys one; The Daily Source Code, The Laporte Report and Naked News (i dont understand this one). So once you've signed up, the program checks the feeds you have for new programs, then puts them in your media player. for example, I sign up for The Daily Source Code feed, and he Adam Curry updates it daily. So when he posts his new Daily Source Code, then the progrqam will download it to my media player. From their I can put it on my ipod or other player. Now if you were gonna do this for Live4ever, it'd be someone reading out the Oasis headlines. So say you leave your ipod plugged into your computer overnight. someone posts the Oasis headlines audio file, your program downloads it and puts it on your ipod. then when you wake up, just unplug your ipod and take on your way to work or school and listen to the latest Oasis headlines! Its heating up, as now NBC, ABC and CBS have their own podcasts Check this article for more info www.ipodlounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/understanding-the-podcasting-revolution/
