Got back yesterday around 1/2 seven had a brilliant time.
Boat from Dublin Port to Hollyhead on Friday around 3 hours, coach to Manchester around 3 1/2 hours. After all that travelling we went exploring. All that was around the hotel was a Pizza place, a cinema, and a pool hall.
Drink is dirt cheap compared to Ireland with most the day playing pool and drinking (2 bottles for £3
then back to the hotel bar for a couple more.
After breakfast the next morning it was off to Old Trafford for a 3pm kick-off. Beautiful day with the sun scorching must of been hard on the players. After something to eat, programme and t-shirt buying (I even got a 'there you go our kid' ;D) we took our seats high up in the Upper East stand.
Brizilian Kleberson was presented to the crowd before kick off. The first half saw a shakey display from United with Bolton unlucky not to take the lead thanks to Tim Howard. A superb free kick from Giggs the only goal in the half.
Second half was far better. With 30 mins left, enter Ronaldo, Christanio Ronaldo. Standing ovation from the home crowd, his triple stepovers had the crowd on its feet. He won a penalty, but Ruud somehow missed
, not to worry he would get the last laugh scoring Uniteds 4th. Giggs added his and uniteds second and Paul Scholes also scored. 4-0 a great display and great opener.
My mates got John O'Shea's autograph as we waited for the coach back to the hotel.
After dinner we went out with some lads from galway into the city center to celebrate the win. (Fat Frogs, super drink
Taxi back then more booze until bar closed, few bottles back to the room aswell. After a few knock on the door we finally went to bed.
Heavy heads in the morning then the coach then ferry then bus and I was home.
Great Weekend, caught up on my sleep today
