several people have the same probs dling from here
anybody know what this message means (i get it on nearly every zip dl from this site):-
"no zip file, bad zip file or part of spanned/split zip file"
....and how to resolve it!!

tried to:- 1 rename before unzipping 2 rename after unzipping a few zipped dls from this site HAVE worked fine but about 90% have this error message

they all work fine for me, dunno if u all do this is, but when i right click on the link and "save as" i change the file type from .zip to any file and rename the actual extention .mp3, so its changed before its downloaded, rather than changing it after its downloaded

well it doesnt matter at all when you actually rename the file. your O/S (xp or ME or linux) should have "show file extensions" enabled then you can rename any file to any other format within your Explorer shell.

open windows explorer. click Tools up there in your menu bar (right next to Favorites). click Folder options. now a window appears. select Views. UNcheck the sixth box, it shud say smth like 'hide known file extensions'. et voila
