anyone know if t4 is gunna come out or made.?
[glow=red,2,300]Plot:[/glow] Further escalation of the war between Humanity and SkyNet...
The fourth installment of the Terminator series.
Release Date: Unknown; there's been no firm word yet about when this movie might be produced (or released).
Release Date Note: (7/6/03) The absolute earliest we're likely to see this movie is summer, 2005, but 2006, 2007 or 2008 are probably just as likely, especially given the long gaps between the first three movies.
Distributor: Warner Bros.
Distributor Note: (1/5/02) Variety reports that Warner Bros. has the "right of first refusal" on this project... which is a bit like "first look rights", but... different. Basically, it means it's their movie unless they decide it isn't.
Production Company: C-2 Pictures (This is a company being launched specifically by the producers who own the rights [Mario Kassar and Andy Vajna] to produce these sequels.); VCL (Germany); Toho Towa (Japan) (Those last two companies are financing partners on these projects).
Cast: None announced yet.
Cast Notes: (6/22/00) Though he has now announced that he will be starring in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Arnold Schwarzenegger has not yet mentioned if he also plans to star in this film. (11/26/02) Claire Danes told SciFi.com this week that she's already contracted to appear in T4 if it gets made. (7/6/03) As speculation swells that Arnold Schwarzenegger may run for the office of the governor of California, one has to wonder if he will be able to return for this fourth movie, if Warner Bros. decides they want to make it really soon (presuming he actually wins, of course
?
Director: Unknown.
Screenwriter: David Campbell Wilson (Supernova, 1991's The Perfect Weapon) (80-page treatment)
Based Upon: This movie is of course a sequel to 1984's Terminator, following 1991's T2: Judgement Day and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.
Premises: This 4th film will take place farther in the future as humanity is waging their war (as seen in the first two films) against the robots. John Connor (played by Edward Furlong in the 2nd movie) will be the star (though Furlong may be too young to play him here).
Premise: (7/6/03) The 80-page treatment that currently exists for this movie takes place farther in the future as humanity is waging their war against the robots. John Connor will be the star, and beyond that... not much is known. Will the T-800 (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the first three movies) return?
Filming: When it was first announced, this movie was expected to be filmed soon after Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, but with that film moving ahead, Variety now (6/22/00) reports that this film is still "in development", with no word about when filming is now scheduled to start. (7/6/03) With T3 opening up to solid numbers, the producers are already talking about this movie, but there is thus far, no firm word about when filming might actually start.
