If anyone wants an alternative version, here is mine recorded via DAB. 12 tracks split into 2 zip files to get under the Savefile limit, 6 tracks in each. Part 1 www.savefile.com/files/314193Part 2 www.savefile.com/files/314113I think the gig is supposed to go out in the future on the other GCAP stations like Capital Gold. If no one has it before then that might be where we get "Married With Children" from. What's the betting a few bleeps get added when it gets re-transmitted? Especially when the guy gets up to go to the gents!

Hi Just been through my 3 hrs of recording material (I missed about 3mins of the Noel History at 7pm; gutted). Anyway, I couldn't believe the last song from the actual gig was missed due to XFM switching to the Flo-Motion show! Anyone know what song they played? Plus I'll be upping my version (everything except XFM Adverts) over at themixingbowl.org ;D Cheers jaybeee EDIT: actually, I've just seen your site JONO and that you've upped the gig. I'll probably grab the first 3mins from that thanks. BTW you could've saved yourself a lot of space/bandwidth/upload-time by encoding the wav to flac (or some other lossless format) - bit-for-bit identical to wav, but about half the size ;-)

I would only consider WAV or FLAC for a direct soundboard recording onto something like DAT or CD. If that soundboard has ever been through a mini-disk (Atrac is a lossy format) at any point (as many "soundboard recordings have) then "lossless" is to some degree a contradiction in terms.

In fact, if you wanted the best quality from the Sky transmission then you'd actually grab the mp2 file that Sky transmits. Anyway, if you actually visit JONO's site and look at his downloads you'll see that it's up as WAV files... hence my remark ;-) Sure, it's up as mp3 too mind

Anyway, if you actually visit JONO's site and look at his downloads you'll see that it's up as WAV files... hence my remark ;-) Sure, it's up as mp3 too mind Sky's RADIO broadcasts are MP2 encoded only at 192kbps. That is why Sky sourced material often sounds better than DAB, which is mainly MP2 encoded at 128kps (on music stations). In the case of Radio 3, the BBC actually does DAB at 192kbps too (matching Sky), but that is an exception, and not really relevant for Oasis gigs. If the original source is only 192kbps, then an MP3 at 192kbps and a WAV or FLAC should sound more or less exactly the same. It is just that the last two formats take up much more space. WAV and FLAC really come into their own (soundwise) when the original quality is higher than the maximum you can get on MP3. Here I suspect there isn't a lot of difference. On a soundboard there might be.
