Fell in love with a girl is a great song but did it really cange the world? it didn't even break them into the mainstream let alone change the world.

Each song has a reason why Rolling Stone believes it had impact. I read the article b/c my friend has a subscription.
As far as 'White Stripes' they say it had to do with the style of guitar, no bass etc. and it was a minor hit......of course helped along by a great video.
It's not a list of the 'best' or 'biggest songs' ever it's songs that started trends etc.
I'm so over lists anyway.
I'm wondering where 'Epic' by Faith No More is as it was the first 'Rap/Rock' song I ever heard that was pretty good.

I would have thought "Tomorrow Never Knows" would have been in there... Strawberry Fields is more mainstream.. simple answer, the list means nothing.

Yeah Venus, I definitely agree,,when I first heard "tommorow never knows" it completely changed the world around me, nothing ever combined the indian elements of healing, knowledge, etc., with rock music. Anyway, call me crazy but I don't think Oasis' songs have ever changed the way people thought about music, but that doesn't bother me at all, although if the white stripes (who I dig a little bit) get on there, Oasis should've definitely made it with "Who Feels Love",,it has that tommorow never knows kinda-feel, but that's a song that cleanses people's souls.
