i used to do Physics at college so i find this stuff interesting ;D to find the speed of something, use the equation- speed=distance/time obviously the time taken for a full rotation is 24 hours and the distance is the circumference of the earth. to find the circumference use - 2 x pi x radius squared. the radius of the earth is roughly 6370km so the circumference is - 40258km speed= 40258/24 = 1677km per hour! which is 0.5km per second and the earth revolves around the sun at 30km per second hope that answers the question now, guess which bits i cheated on ;D
