The Brits love him, the Americans don’t get him and we Canadians are somewhere in between. Robbie Williams may be an acquired taste, but those of us who like him like him very much, indeed. Which is why roughly 50 per cent of us here at ChartAttack are very excited to announce that Robbie will be releasing a live album at the end of this month.
Robbie Williams — Live At Knebworth will be released domestically on September 30. As the title would suggest, the disc is a document of Williams’ summer stint at Britian’s gigantic Knebworth Park. In August Robbie played to 375,000 fans over the course of three evenings, breaking U.K. attendance records (the record was previously set by Williams’ old nemeses, Oasis). The live album is compiled from all three evenings.
Since Robbie’s show is as exciting to watch as it is to listen to, television cameras also caught the August 2 performance, which was aired on British TV. The show — which begins with Robbie suspended on wires above the stage — will be released as a DVD shortly after the live CD.
Here’s a tracklisting for Robbie Williams — Live At Knebworth:
"Let Me Entertain You" "Let Love Be Your Energy" "(We Will) Rock You" "Monsoon" "Come Undone" "Me & My Monkey" "Hot Fudge" "Mr. Bojangles" "She’s The One" "Kids" "Better Man" "Nan’s Song" "Feel" "Angels"
