Easily the best album since BHN, although it would've been way better if they had replaced the last 3 songs.

get a grip, its a crackin i think if they couldve just replaced the aint got nothing, nature of reality an soldier with maybe a finished version of record machine an stop the clocks i think it wouldve put it right up there with the top albums of certainly this decade, not that there bad songs but there tracks that just dont seem to fit, even get off your high horse lady is a track that fits an everyone i know who dont really like oasis but hear that track love it

Still loving tracks 1 to 7 aswell, but the God awful Ain't Got Nothin and Nature Of Reality still leave a lot to be desired. The album's like a good looking guy with a small penis.
1 year though - bloody hell, that is a super quick year. I can't believe it - it seems like yesterday I bought if from Woolworths on a chilly sunlit autumn afternoon after school! I'm now a student, Oasis have crumbled, Woolworths isn't around anymore, I'm living far away from home, got new friends. It's pretty scary though - a year was an age when I was younger, now when I get older, they seem to fly by - as soon as I know it, I'll be an old man. Depressing, isn't it.

Fuck off to the people who say that it's shit but love the first 7 tracks. 7 tracks is more than half of the songs on the album, so shit it is not.

7 great songs on an album = GOOD album. Any brain dead idiot could tell you that. If it only had 4 great songs like Heathen Chemistry, it would be below average at best.
Bag It Up, The Turning, Waiting For The Rapture, The Shock Of The Lightning, I'm Outta Time and Falling Down are all brilliant songs.
To Be Where There's Life is good
Soldier On is good if you're in that sorta mood. Fits in well, although not strong as a song overall.
Ain't Got Nothin' is shit. The Nature Of Reality is shit. High Horse Lady is baffling.
So there you go, 6 brilliant songs, 1 good song, 1 alright song, 3 shit songs. Better than any Coldplay album.

Love that album, up there with DM, SOTSOG and DBTT. And this 2009, I'm also a student. So many changes, so many places, friends, my new love. Really fun.

BIU, TT, SOL, IOT, FD, SO, TBWTL are still great, I always liked AGN. WFTR and TNOR have somewhat grown on me leaving only GOYHHL as the worst song for me. Funny how that description highly praises the album, yet in the past year, it for me has slipped below DBTT to be their 5th best and has left me with the feeling of wanting more. I guess I expect too much, and am still too pleased with the let downs.

Its could be their third best album on a good day from me. It still sounds fresh I still love listening to to all the way through. Sure its got its duds but BIU, TT, and TSOTL showed us they could still rock the fuck out. IOT does a decent job being the soft track on the album but Liam has written at least 3 better tunes. high horse does a good job of breaking up the album. Falling Down remains one of Noel's best moments as a songwriter. WFTR is up there with some other Noel classics. TBWTL just might be Gem's best track ever ( I do love Eyeball Tickler ). TNOR is Andy's worst since Quick Peep but its got a decent solo. Plus the drums and Liam sound amazing on it (listen to it in surround sound its epic). AGN is a short burst of energy I was disappointed it made the album but its quick and really isn't that horrible its just filler. SO is a solid closer it continues to grow on me but I would have preferred an epic closer cos they just haven't done that in nearly a decade. It grooves along nicely.
MG and DM as I've said remain the best too (in that order for me). But third place is ever changeable between four albums BHN, SOTSOG, DBTT, and DOYS. But if I would have to rank the most listened Oasis album between the four it would probably go like: SOTSOG, DBTT, BHN, then DOYS. Its really tough maybe one day I'll be able to sort them out but Dig Out Your Soul is a great album 8.5/10 and has Noel's strongest batch of songs since MG.

I agree with everything you said there - bar DM and MG, for me DM is the better of the two. 3rd place is interchangeable for me, too, with the 3 albums of DOYS, BHN, and DBTT....

A great album, BIU, TT, WFTR, TSOTL, IOT, FD, TBWTL are great, HHL and AGN are good tracks, SO is a nice grower (I'm glad that a lot o f people used to rate it and now love it), the only shit song is TNOR.
MG and DM are their untouchable classic albums, DOYS is their 3rd best, BHN get a lot of nostalgia of the fans but it's only their fifth best behind DBTT, after this the underrated SOTSOG and HC the least for being an good album but mediocre by Oasis standards.

I still love it and find something new to appreciate in it everytime I listen to it. It still sounds fresh and meaningful to me. As someone who likes the last 3 tracks (and loves HHL), I think it's a really strong album overall (though STC and Record Machine would have boosted it into uncharted territory).
The only Oasis album that hasnt aged that well for me is HC. But even there, I see value in that it was a great leap forward for Liam. Infact, on HC I enjoy Liams, Gems and Andys tracks more than Noels. But the bsides from that album were pretty good.

It's not just the worst Oasis album, but one of the worst albums I've heard...
Flat sound with ridiculous lyrics.. I really thought it couldn't get any worse than DBTT, I was wrong.
Why isn’t Oasis well known in the US? They can't make a hit song between them and if they do they destroy it with their great production skills.. They should name this band "excuses" because that’s what everyone does here... Excuses for Liam's poor concert performance, excuses for their poor song quality, excuses for the their shitty sales in the US(must be the Americans, can't possibly be the fact that they haven't released anything good in a zillion years")
This band started out strong and had potential but now they‘re just a joke that should have broke up after WTSMG. Liam can’t sing and Noel isn’t the song writer he used to be which is making a creative version of someone else’s songs.

Whether you enjoy their latter period material or not is a subjective matter. If you think its crap, then you think its crap. But you can't post a thing like that and expect anyone to agree with you or take you seriously can you? Utter shit for a while? You might think so, but I vehemently disagree. And I'm sure a good 85-90% of active members on this board would think so too.
