New music on route. My prediction is a one off single to wet the mouth right around the holidays. Noel's got some bangers stashed for sure over the years that were better suited for Liam. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was a one of single for the Christmas season My best guess would be that Noel releases a couple of old Oasis demos, one of which will have Liam on vocals, on a "Magic Secrets" type EP at New Year's. It would obviously be under the OASIS name, but would be a good way to keep the yearly tradition going that he started with HFB. I imagine this sort of release would be ideal as it would whet people's appetites for new music without actually needing to release any genuinely "new" material. Maybe Step Out with Liam on vocals would be a good choice. Not a very known song to most people so it would sound quite "new", Liam vocals are great on it (or so it seems) and a good teaser for the MG30 reissue. Throw in a brand new Microdot artwork and I'll buy it. Otherwise I can't see them releasing anything just for the sake of it. The hype right now is at its highest since the 90s. Hopefully, they won't waste it with a throwaway demo release or a compilation of b-sides from the 00s. Don't get me wrong, I'd love that compilation, but it would break the momentum quite a bit. |

It's dark at 4PM, work's a drag right now, and the country is a politically charged hellscape.
But watching people argue whether or not the guy who can't remember the words to more than one verse per song is secretly seeding hints of a new album makes it all okay.

The Step Out idea has my interest peaked because it's clear as day they really wanted this on the album but all the legal stuff crushed that.
Liam loves the song and since he's hinted at them playing it next summer I would think they would want people to get more familiarized with it
I'd love it.

My marketing mind asks me why they would release an album now that they've basically sold tickets to the world and his wife.
Logically they'd release a Morning Glory re-release in 2025 along with the tour with just enough bonus material for anyone interested to stream/purchase and then return in 2026/2027 with a new album and a reason to tour again.
Noel seems like a smart guy, recording and releasing an album now seems like too much effort and a bad business decision, they're hardly going to sell more tickets are they. And tickets is where the cash is.

The tour tickets are sold but there has to be something to promote it. We haven’t even had interview. All bands need publicity even oasis. If there is a Netflix/apple documentary then something needs to promote it. We can just have 8 months of silence. There has to be tour rehearsals etc. Oasis are a massive band but there is a massive gap in the market for them. U2 and coldplay are on their last legs. If oasis bring out a new single and it catches on it could take even them onto another level. We will get a single then if tour goes well an album. No inside knowledge just opinion

I think the biggest evidence they aren’t recording a new album right now is the complete lack of daily pics of them going in and out of studios. You’d have the tabloids snapping pics like crazy if either one of them went close to a studio. Noel went to his own studio once a couple months ago and pics were all over the place.
Sending new tracks back and forth “in secret” seems so implausible but I guess it’s hard to disprove.
More likely in 2025 we will get MG30 bonus tracks, remixes, and remasters, which are easy to do behind the scenes.

Edit: the fact that Noel has not said a peep about the album rumors is even more of an indication it’s on its way…. Noel would have shut down those rumors immediately, especially since there’s an Oasis reunion that he’s a part of. Again, Liam is toying with you. Of course there’s a new album. Noel hasn't said a peep because he's a miserable bastard who's only in it for a quick cash grab because he's divorced and his solo career is running on fumes. I wish there was a greater motivation to it than that. But given his chubby misery gut Brexit dad vibes of late, that man is creatively spent and couldn't care less. I pray for something interesting, something for us to get our teeth stuck into, something for the fans who aren't going to the gigs, but its wishful thinking at this stage. They'll do the gigs, they'll be... okay, Noel will stare at his shoes for two hours straight and Liam will proclaim it as the best thing since sliced bread. The Stone Roses half arsed reunion will be the perfect model for them. Middle aged men will weep that it was the greatest thing ever, younger less invested audiences will wonder what the fuss was all about. That's your lot. |

I guess I only wonder if the reunion is a one-off and he’ll go back to the Birds or if it’s for keeps. That's really the only question, whether this is a one off or an ongoing thing. I think it will be ongoing, with Noel taking a year off every 2-3 years to put out some solo material. We are used to Oasis putting out an album and touring for a year, maybe the new reality is they tour for shorter lengths and/or play less dates. Last tour lasted a year and it was something like 100 shows. This one so far is what, 40? 50? Even when they add Japan and Korea they will be less than 60 shows overall. I don't know it's all confusing. Information will come, just not right now. |
