I don't want to hear a new album on this tour. I want to hear the songs I literally never thought I would hear live again for as long as I live. Did you never go to see Noel or Liam live? 😜 Should've been more specific. Songs I literally never thought I would hear live again being sung simultaneously by the Gallagher brothers, haha. |

I'm fine if there's a new album. The reunion tour will be a greatest hits tour anyway. Gallaghers know what the majority of fans, especially younger generation who weren't even born when DM and MG came out, want to hear.

It seems a very strange thing for Liam to tweet that there is a ‘’ Massive Announcement Incoming’’ if there isn’t. Notice he says there’s no new oasis album in the making but he doesn’t mention a single. I 100% think there will be a single. So easy to get liam to do vocals on one track and even and average song will be massive hit.

If there is a new album Oasis team would want to make a big announcement not just "Neyw alboum yu bumbaclarts" on X. That's why Liam backtracked. Talking too much.
There's probably a new album in the making. But i wouldn't put my money on it before 2026. Or if they release MG anniversay earlier, say in spring, new album in october.

It will earn peanuts compared to what the tour is doing. The tour is obviously going to be a greatest hits tour, so they'd release a new album and not play it? It also risks not being that great and taking focus away from Oasis the biggest on earth that wrote all those anthems, to Oasis that kind of faded away to a series of half arsed albums. And they will have a MG reissue to flog, which by being affiliated with the tour will be huge. People focus on Liam saying, almost certainly as a wind up, that an album was coming. He's also said multiple times that it all depends what happens on the tour and he needs to be on best behaviour and convince Noel he wants to write some tunes and carry on after the tour. People insist the quote they want to believe is true, but the other isn't, based on nothing but what they want to believe. In the end it means we'll probably get a more exciting MG reissue than we would have done as they'll really want to capitalise on it. A Liam version of Step Out I should think. Maybe even a new recording of something. Trouble is while sonically they could record those songs to sound much better now (the production/mixing on that album is piss), Liam's voice is obviously not what is was then which means any new recording would pale. |

However some songs from those later albums could be played live in 25 - Number 1 singles, bangers that still mean alot to so many.. so Legacy intact! They have never had a xmas number 1 single. They know a new single would get number 1. Must be tempting for them. Liam just does his vocals, noel just uses a old track he has with him singing as the b side. Make quite a few physical copies to make sure gets to number 1. Job done and another achievement for the band.

It would obviously be under the OASIS name, but would be a good way to keep the yearly tradition going that he started with HFB. I imagine this sort of release would be ideal as it would whet people's appetites for new music without actually needing to release any genuinely "new" material. |
