SCYHO was the song that made me a fan back when I was a teenager. Voted for it, but could've easily voted for DGA as it's also a very good song, love the bridge.

I live in Spain but for some reason we had access to some German channels. I remember having my tv on as much as possible to catch the song, been a fan ever since. |

"Don't Go Away" is the better song at heart, but the whiny production and lumbering tempo turn it into pap.
"Stop Crying Your Heart Out", for all it's faults, banks on that magnetic chorus and in the end works much better.

Stop Crying Your Heart Out all the way for me and I've always loved it ever since it's first radio play back in 2002.
Don't Go Away is a good song though.

Both songs have similar heart-wrenching anthemic qualities, however I think I just slightly prefer DGA. It just has a more genuine feeling to it - more like something Noel actually meant when he wrote it rather than something he cobbled together for a stadium-sized chorus. That, and DGA works super well on an acoustic (as most of the best oasis songs do), whereas SCYHO definitely needs the extra production. Both fantastic songs though.

Both are iconic IMO and have really similar structure. That's why I'd like to break them a bit:
Don't Go Away:
- One of Liam's best vocals
- Great riff in the intro
- The electric guitar goes really gently along the orchestra and everything else
- The bridge is heartbreaking
Stop Crying Your Heart Out:
- Liam and Noel's vocals contrast beautifully in the verses, a la Cast No Shadow
- Very clean tune, the beggining it's just Liam's voice and the piano
- Can't remember another Oasis ballad without an acoustic guitar (until the outro)
Two beautiful ballads, two classics from the band. But if I have to choose I'll go with DGA cos' Im a guitar sucker and I hate that SCYHO "solo's" a repetition of a three-note riff

Stop Crying Your Heart Out was - Yay Oasis is back to anthems
Don't Go Away was - Yay, great ballad on a rock n roll album, but not as good as Stand By Moi
So i'd say Stop Crying Your Heart Out, but i love both.

DGA by a mile. SCYHO very good but nowhere near has memorable or memory evoking as DGA. Be Here Now holds some stirring memories of people pasted, especially DGA hence big influence on decision.
