Popped into my local JB Hi Fi store here in Australia (they are probably the biggest retailer still in existence here for records and CDs) to pick up the new DM release on CD.
No copies in store and sad to see there is no longer even an Oasis section in their CD racks. I tried the rock and popular and alternative aisles. Maybe they've just sold out of all their Oasis CDs in the past few weeks but the little pop up tab with the band name on it wasn't even there any more.
I can order it online from them but it's sad I was in the store and couldn't just pick a copy up there and then.

Definitely Maybe sold about 5500/6000 copies last week in the US. Maybe some 50k pure sales around the world? Youch. Not great. Where did you read that? It's derived from Billboard album sales chart, DM entered just below Billie Eilish (6200), but above Taylor Swift (4800) with a margin. Given that about 10 years ago a reissue of MG sold about 3000 copies, I think it's a solid result.

According to Mediatraffic, which adds all the global charts to get one global chart, Definitely Maybe was the 8th album last week, with 70k chart sales. Morning Glory was 16th, selling 53k. I think US sales aren't included in these numbers, as the albums didn't hit the Billboard 200.

After Q3, Definitely Maybe is the 2nd best selling album on vinyl in the UK in 2024, only beaten by Taylor Swift's latest album. 38000 copies! Legendary!
