‘’ the guns have fallen silent, the stars have alligned’’
Amazed if it isn’t lyrics to a new song

Look, I'm just going to come right out and say it... ... originally I would've written off a reunion if the purpose was only to do a few shows... ...but now I totally respect Noel and Liam for reuniting and only doing live shows for the "Live '25" tour. I only want them to make new Oasis material if it's quality and they've got something on their minds worth telling. I'd really struggle if anything they released now wasn't top notch and beyond. Imagine them coming back with DOYS at this point. First half or second half? If it's a full album on par with the first half of DOYS, gimme. If it's on par with the second half, yes it should never the the light of day.

Liam's tweet about November. It was tweeted in April. Who knows if they were talking or planning a reunion then. But November sounds like the ideal month to record an album if gigs are planned for July and August. I suspect Noel has the songs already. Tease the album early 2025. Two or three singles in the run up. Album release just before the gigs. The setlist would still be the classics but maybe two from the new album. That's my wishful thinking anyway 😂 The timing works perfectly no? I’m firmly of the view (post Roses) that we need a new album so it’s not ALL nostalgia but a living, breathing entity. Noel can still write brilliantly, and Liam can sing again. On one hand, they can sell everything out easily with no new material. Younger fans who never got to see them first time round and casual fans jumping on the hype bandwagon will want to hear the classics and won’t care to have new tracks on the setlist, so a greatest hits tour first makes sense, then think about an album & 2nd tour if they hold it together for that. But then Noel has always said he hates nostalgia and likes to do new things. It’s not been advertised as a MG tour. He claims to be sitting on loads of songs, even Oasis ones from the 90s. So fookin hell, it is absolutely possible. Choo choo g’choob 🚂

‘’ the guns have fallen silent, the stars have alligned’’ Amazed if it isn’t lyrics to a new song I don't think Noel would allow tweeting haiku written by other people on his account. Gotta be written by Noel, gotta be the new lyrics. and this is what got me believe that there's gonna be at least 1 new song

I checked on google and those pictures from the article earlier don't look like the exterior of his Lone Star Studios or Tileyard London in general. On one hand, it's very early for rehearsals, so maybe there is some truth to it. Or maybe Noel just had some of his gear stored somewhere else.

You can see what looks like the entrance to tileyard in the background of the pic of him getting out of the car. The white building is somewhere else. Possibly his house in west London. Most likely scenario is he’s picking up gear from his tile yard studio and taking it home before closing the studio up. Paparazzi probably followed him from the studio to home.

The best this album will likely be is the 4th best Oasis album. I can't see it topping the first 3.
No matter how good Noel's writing is (which it hasn't been lately) Liam's got much worse vocals now.
But that's all good, because this is a new era now. A fresh start
Def Maybe to Be Here Now feels like an electric era.
Giants to DOYS feels like a drawn-out, plodding era.
The Solo times feel like (mostly) the dark days to me.
And.. now... we start brand new.
Even 1 "new" classic Oasis single will make everything feel golden and beautiful. Let alone 2 or 3.
It doesn't have to be a classic record, but the SINGLES!!! I want incredible singles for all time.
New Oasis is better than No Oasis
I think he's got many a single up his sleeve right now
C'mon Chief... it's time for the magic to come out and play
One more ride to the moon ... at least

As long as the songwriters army is not involved, i'm happy. (And Noel goes back to the Oasis sound of course, not his boring guitars or late) A few months ago Noel was on a Paul Weller fans podcast and he said he's working on a new tune for his 'future album' that's so Jam-style he reckoned Weller was gonna be 'livid' was the word he used. I reckon that future album is Oasis. The podcaster said yesterday that he'd had to edit out where Noel gives away the reunion. He should put out the clip he edited out, that would be interesting. I guess he could now it's not a secret anymore, unless he directly says those songs are for Oasis, then he shouldn't put it out

Noel has hundreds of guitars and amps stored somewhere, I know because I used to briefly work in the big rehearsal space and storage place where many famous acts used to store gear and rehearse in Bermondsey, I had access to the unit where his stuff was, not that i went in, i just had keys to all of them. A lot of American bands kept gear there for European tours. There was always someome coming every few days taking or storing Noel's gear. I believe they're no longer operating though, so I doubt it's there, unless they still use storage facilities there.

I think realistically it would be on par with the last two or three Oasis albums.. No band in their 50s is truly ever going to match their best work from their 20s, I think everyone accepts that. If they can knock out a few decent sing along tunes that are no worse than where they left off, I think people will take that as a decent result.

interesting claim from Noel here in 1996 when talking about the band recording process.
'I dare say you wont find many oasis anthologies knocking about in a few years because they're all on little walkmans round at my house" (referring to early WTSMG demos I assume?) Where are those walkmans today noel? Do they still exist? Lol

I don’t see another Oasis album but I do hope for a comeback single of Liam on the A-side and Noel on the B-side. Flood the zones with releases and get another UK #1. What a time to be alive!!!
I also love the idea of Noel taking those recently discovered dozen Oasis songs that never got recorded and now making them into an Oasis record in 2025.

So nothing new got posted/revealed? He revealed he’s written a song that sounds just like The Jam and capturing little tidbits like that is exactly the purpose of this thread. Added to the first post, thanks Firefly. 🎯

Thinking on it more, if they don’t put out an album, a realistic option would be to put out a new best of around the time of the tour when they’re getting loads of media coverage again. That best of could have a newly recorded track or some old unreleased tracks. That’s something that realistically could happen…

So nothing new got posted/revealed? Only him saying the Jam song was for a 'future album' which looking back could be Oasis album because in the same podcast Noel let it slip that Oasis had reformed and it had to edited out. So ya know joining dots and all that
