The quicker we get the new album the quicker we can get all the remix b-sides. It’s not a new album cycle until the remixes make an appearance.

I’m putting this theory out - if we do get an album, we will see out first song with both brothers credited.
Just because I feel like it was an issue in the past. And we all know Liam contributed some words to Noel songs.

And we all know Liam contributed some words to Noel songs. I don't think there's any chance of that happening. It ever really was an issue, and what contributions Liam made were minimal in the wide scheme of things. Liam is and always was perfectly happy to let Noel do all the writing.

Imagine new album happens and it is 7 Liam and 4 Gem penned tracks.

I prefer just a tour without new music rather than an album with songs like "Nothing Nowhere." For such rubbish songs, we can use AI to create songs like that. Either Noel’s magic or I don’t need new music at all. These pathetic rip-offs and poor imitations of The Stones and The Beatles – no thanks. That song is really nothing much. Liam has written much better songs, and the only impact that song will make is for a select few posters here. Nothing Nowhere is going, well, nothing nowhere on any future album. What's more, all eyes are on Oasis again. The standards will have to be much much much higher than that. So forget Nothing Nowhere, and, heaven help us, forget songs from Andy and Gem. Nobody signed up for this mediocrity. The formula for Oasis is very simple: Songs by Noel Gallagher sung by Liam Gallagher.

The fact that Noel Gallagher can write a new Oasis album today after a long series of mediocre songs released in his solo career doesn't make me feel very comfortable. However, we know that a simple cell phone recording of Nothing Nowhere has made quite a few people fall in love with it since it first appeared. So it's legitimate that many want it on an Oasis album. Because it would already be a big plus before we even know what other songs it will contain.

It's not a new album cycle until someone - Liam, Noel, or a journalist, doesn't really matter - says "this is the album Oasis should have made after Morning Glory."

Come on folks, let's not be deluded in thinking Noel isn't still the main man when it comes to songwriting.
Take off rose tinted Team Liam specs and realise the truth of being an Oasis fan again.

I'm an Oasis fan. Liam remains my "favorite Oasis" but I hope Noel finds the right quality inspiration to create a memorable new Oasis album, and I also hope that Liam knows how to better manage his voice. Only in this way will we achieve a legendary return. They will no longer be the two "lions" of the 90s but they need to come as close as possible.

Noel is at his best writing for Liam, Liam is at his best singing Noel’s songs. Keep it simple stupid.

That's absolutely true but if Noel has 9 top songs and Liam has 1, I'm all for it being on there. If Noel does have enough songs for a full length Oasis album, and it's a big if, his greatest challenges are the selecting the best ones and getting someone good to record them.

Can you break this down dont think any oasis fan disagrees that noel was 100% the man in oasis for songwriting . His songs destroys every single none noel oasis penned track. The poster few posts up said Noel's non oasis songs not so good in recent years. Some good tunes 100% , but think any oasis fan could agree that Noel output wasnt as prolifilc as his oasis days? How does that equate into Team Liam taking rose specs off to realise truth of being oasis fan again?

A comeback album needs to be excellent or don't bother at all, just tour. It needs to be at least NGHFB#1 or Chasing Yesterday good, and definitely needs to be more consistent than anything Oasis post Be Here Now. I don't get why it needs to be as good as 90s albums? Do you remember the hype and joy we felt over DBTT and DOYS, and DGSS, BE, CY and AYW for that matter? While reviewers and pretentious people kept comparing them with the impossible bars of DM and WTSMG. I don't get why fans should fall in that trap.

I think if you take Noel's best solo material you definitely get one album that would rival Oasis output Not saying it's as good as WTSMG, but it wouldn’t be *that* far off Now, can he still do it for a full record? I don't know, but if he takes on the challenge I'm quite sure (hopeful?) he wouldn’t settle for mediocrity and will give it his best shot He knows how important a new record could be for the band's legacy Not that it'd be ruined, in the end people always remember the good stuff, but he could take back what he threw away with Be Here Now, or some of it at least

Would be perfect beyond belief and seal their legacy. But thats obv the 'what if' can they actually add to to the legacy if album comes out or will it be forgotten like the 00's albums seems to be

I for one have no hopes of them surpassing BHN or DOYS (which are currently 2nd and 4th on my ranking). My fears are that the band tries to replicate something they haven't got anymore - Noel has been writing great album after great album, Liam has some decent songs here and there and has managed a good performance overall. I want them to recapture the magic of what made Oasis great, but with the new things they've cultivated since the breakup, kinda like I think The Strokes managed to do with The New Abnormal. Something like that for Oasis 3.0 would be the best case scenario for me.
