In order to reduce the overheads the drum machine will be rental, basic model. In order to minimise wage costs and extract maximum revenue from the highly anticipated upcoming tour, Oasis will no longer have a bassist. 👻 Garageband for drums and bass, Gem, Liam, Noel. > 95% of the audience wont hear the difference. |

Zak was fantastic with the Who from '99 through the 2002 tour with Pino on bass but in subsequent tours through the present day I felt there was a shift in his playing. Maybe not having John as the anchor contributed in the long term. The thing that helped him save the Who back in '99 was the fact that he played to the vocal much like Moon did while playing the breaks straight, really helping to drive the songs. He worked great off Entwhistle & Townshend, Sparks from the 2002 warmup shows was incendiary. I never cared for him live with Oasis and would much prefer Sharrock who was one of the few highlights during the DOYS tour.

I’m surprised Jeff Wootton’s name hasn’t come up much on here as an option for bass. Isn’t he friendly with both Liam and Noel?
(Beady eye first album and Noel circa CY)…
He would definitely bring something fresh to the band if necessary, while having history with the gallaghers too.

They are keeping the band members secret intentionally, that is clear at this point. As I pointed out in another thread, that’s remarkable that they have sold out the tour without even announcing who is in the bloody band!
Liam has been teasing that we won’t know the lineup until they walk on stage for the first gig. Perhaps he’s trolling, but he’s said a lot of insane things this year about Oasis that turned out to be true.
So if they are keeping it a secret - there’s a reason for it. I was expecting the 2009 lineup, but now I’m wondering if we will be surprised by how many original band members show up.
So here’s a poll. Who do you think will make an appearance? Check as many boxes as you think applies. And let’s reason through this.

Bonehead, Gem, Chris, and Mike Rowe all seem like the obvious choice. I also clicked for new band member, as Liam has hinted about that too. I do not think Andy makes the cut in any capacity.
But again, what’s up with the secrecy. Is there a chance we see other original members? That’s the reason for this poll. What do you reckon.

Is Noel even on speaking terms with Andy? He threw Andy under the bus when Andy failed to defend him during the fight with Liam in Paris. Andy was too busy “looking at his shoes” if I recall Noel’s quote directly. For one reason or another, I don’t think Andy makes the cut. |

RIDE was the support for Noel and his band when they played a gig in 2022. I am quite sure that they are fine.

So rehearsals have started, Liam has confirmed. Yet literally no one knows who the rest of the band members are! Keeping it a secret intentionally at this point. Amazing no leaks on this yet. |
