Anybody think Babyshambles could be an outside option? - Pete is a massive Oasis fan(we've all seen the vid of him waiting in line for Be Here Now, has done live covers) - He mentioned he wants to tour with them again as he misses playing those songs - They reunited on stage for the first time in 10 years the other night for the last 6 songs of Pete's solo show. - Next year is 20 year anniversary of their debut album 'Down In Albion' - They were supposed to support Oasis in 2005 at my show at Southampton Rosebowl...But Pete never made it after missing his ferry and was still in France. - Drew (Babyshambles bassist) is Liam's bassist in his solo band, so has a relationship/contact/in there for a slot if they are planning shows next year and babyshambles reunites at Pete’s solo gig yesterday, does that make me laugh so loud

I hope not. Shit sectarian shite. Keep them away. Fontains and Inhaler would be much better Irish options.

If they do those US dates I think they’ll have something big planned like the killers or maybe even too fighters? I know Noel makes fun of Dave but I don’t buy it. Everyone loves Dave and he love them back lol One of those plus another well known band to fill the 90000 Rose bowl I think

These need to be Oasis shows for Oasis fans and Foo Fighters can already sell out stadiums here on their own.

Could be fans in Japan and Korea will come over. Also that list has multiple shows close together on the east coast. I hope they don’t co-headline but the stadiums the Foos just toured were 20,000-30,000; not 90. I think the killers would be the best match for oasis though. So yeah I’m spending the dough and going to the UK.

I would hate the Killers co headlining, not having that in the US.
Most I’ll stomach is Arctic Monkeys. While I don’t think they aged well they can still put on a show and is more in line to Oasis than Brand fucking Flowers…. I know he likes Oasis, but I can’t stand the guy. Good debut album, tbf.

They're touring next year and Carl Barat and Liam seem to be mates, I've seen pics of them having nights out together

This is who I think will have a great chance of being the support;
Ashcroft; both Noel n Liam love him The libertines; Noel’s spoke highly of them before DMA’s; Liam likes them The courteeners; Liams mates with them Kasabian; I can’t see Tom solo being one as Liam had a pop at Noel recently having Tom support him The Coral; supported them at Finsbury Park years ago and they are a really good band Blossoms

Don't know when they'll be active again, but how about The Last Shadow Puppets (Alex Turner and Miles Kane's band)? Maybe The Arctic Monkeys are too big to take any kind of support slot, but Last Shadow Puppets would be realistic

Doesn't really matter who they pick for the UK shows even though I would prefer some fresh stuff like Fontaines DC or Sam Fender instead of the obvious (boring) names like Courteeners or probably the Serge Pizzorno band.
For the expected North American leg they definitely have to pick a bigger act that is established over there to serve as leading support. The Black Keys would be a good choice and both Liam and Noel seem to be cool with them. Liam played a couple of shows with them and they are vocal fans. Noel obviously even worked with them together. Would be a cool bill imo
Arctic Monkeys became a proper arena band in NA too over the years so that would be massive.

Unironically, Blur.
If Megadeth and Metallica can appear on the same bill together there's no reason why Blur and Oasis can't as well.

Blossoms will be the main Manchester support. They're in bed with SJM and they even had the 27.08.24 tease at their gig in Wythenshawe, so it's a no brainer. Could see Johnny Marr there too, maybe. Villanelle will be the opening band at a few/all of their shows.
Support acts generally cost money, and Oasis being Oasis I could see them going no frills on them, so not holding my breath for an incredible line-up.

Yikes. That sounds really underwhelming! I'd expect some bigger bands/artists would fancy the opportunity to open for Oasis on that (special) tour and play such huge crowds. That makes you appreciate The Courteeners and The Coral more lol
Blossoms, well, fair play and all but just not my cup of tea. Still better than Kasabian these days though.

Very safe and pretty mundane. We want some bands with bite and vigour.
