He’s talking about volume not rating, no? Correct! But still, the 'before it's even begun' thing is very telling He’s telling us in plain sight, like he always does.

Oh, shit… I’ve been reluctant to post about it/get excited but it’s fucking happening, isn’t it?!? Kyle is saying it, accompanied by other “in the know” folks, and with the more gracious remarks about LG from NG, it makes me to believe IT’S. FUCKING. ON. I’ll be there no matter the cost (devastating financial burden)!!!

Do we think a new album would come or no? This is most exciting for me since if they just do UK gigs I’ll miss out here in USA. Noel did say he’s doing a “defiant rock album” next….if only we knew a singer who would be perfect for that

Do we think a new album would come or no? I’m mixed with trying to understand what Noel and the lads are cooking up here… On one hand, it’s believed to be a tour for WTSMG On the other hand, Noel did say many months ago he shoved aside an acoustic project to work on a more rock album. Hmm… Liam also has alluded on his twitter that we’re going to get a lot of goods next year. Again, hmm…. I’d bloody love a new album fully written by Noel.

Do we think a new album would come or no? I really hope they do. My guess is some gigs but not a full tour, just to test the waters and see if they can work it out. If it goes well they announce a tour and record a new album.

Wasn’t Liam in America recently.…..possibly recording🤔 massive long shot but grasping at straws. I’m also going to keep a close eye on his reading set on Sunday, incase there’s evidence of a special guest at the end…

So I'd imagine there will be no US dates. I may have to be somewhat financially irresponsible and head to the UK for one of these alleged dates (if they exist, of course...).
Part of me would love to be at the very first date, just in case the lads realize they don't want to do any more after that!

That is actually a good point - in truth Id only ever expected live dates in the event anything ever happened. Who would they get? Owen Morris has retired and buggered off to Costa Rica. One person who was always on good terms with both is Spike, but would Noel go back to him given how he views SOTSOG? If I had to place bets, I would probably say they’d reunite with Dave Sardy. Not that it’s what I want, just going off how the band responded to his work. They could do with someone different whos actually good/experienced at indie rock, like Stephen Street, Danger Mouse, Tony Visconti, John Leckie etc

Not only is he an amazing producer but the idea of getting Blur's long-time producer to work on an Oasis record would be so fucking funny

We chose him for his stuff with the Smiths, didnt know f*k all else he’d done”. Play it up for a bit of a laugh.

I imagine this will be a tour-only deal. It's where the money is.
Maybe a see how it goes after the tour when it comes to new music, but it's not a priority for them. The majority of people will want them to play the old stuff. And they can dip back into their solo careers, Noel especially, were they to make new music.

Spike was a good choice but much of the heavy lifting production wise had been done in the demos I think. Sardy, the less said the better. But I think there's one ideal producer, which is Rick Rubin. Noel stated that they were very close to hiring him once. He'd have been perfect, would have brought some clarity and energy to the sound and ensured the best material available would have been recorded. Again, another massive missed opportunity. None of this mediocre tired Dave Sardy shite for sure. Part of me thinks an Oasis reunion is a pointless venture if Noel continues to be an unambitious bore in the studio and is terrified of being challenged. Even if Noel produces himself, we'll just end up with a dull sludge of guitars as opposed to the spectacular crashing reverbed sound of the Morris produced era. The producers Liam worked with would be good in comparison with Noel's dull approach to recording.

The only thing Ive heard about him is hes quite controlling and enforces his own methods strongly. Dont know how that would sit with them. But yeah sonically, he is good.

Yeah i guess theres a lot of sessions (DM, DBTT, NGHFB), where hes gotten slack trying to do it all himself and someones had to take over. I think having someone who he respects the vision of would be key yeah.

I voted no, but IF something happens then I was wrong. I just hope that it wouldn't end in a disaster and toxic atmosphere like last time. I was very fortunate to see the band live four times even though it was after the crazy peak years and it was absolutely great, but I still realized at the time that it probably wasn't the same 90s energy and swagger. Just remember it won't be like that ever again and don't expect miracles. I'd be more interested in a new single or album, IF something happens.
