When do we think we're going to hear from the lads themselves? Once tickets all gone I think. Liam will go house to house shaking everyone's hands with Noel pinning a badge to all lucky fans. While guardian journalists ceremonially beat themselves with switches in a cage on the back of a transit van. I maybe wrong though Indeed— A rousing game of door-to-door “Pin the Tail on the Oasis Fan!”

Lyrics from new single dropping tomorrow 9am: The sun shines through as the bombs rain down Feral kids cast out from this dirty town Mind explosion, their vision beholden To escape the race that the rats run down The guns have fallen silent The stars have aligned The great wait is over Come see It will not be televised Lightning strikes as the rain falls through Kids leave on their bikes with no real clue To what really happened, the city is flattened They escape through the river that the rats swim through The guns have fallen silent The stars have aligned The great wait is over Come see It will not be televised The city stays violent Crime's on the rise The great wait is over Come see for yourself It will not be televised This is so shite 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Has there been any more news or info about the reunion since tuesday? I'm guessing no, but maybe there has been some tidbit or interview by one of the brothers or something...

Still time to realize Oasis and promoters are gonna make roughly 12 millions pounds per shows.
I mean its just crazy.

I did that - accidentially! - as a baby to my sister and she then tried to kill me twice! Thankfully we never had a band together.

No Mail. Been a fan for 30 years. Seen them live 14 times. Sad times. New fans only? I'm a new-ish fan, never seen them live, didn't get one either. These things are chosen completely at random, so at the end of the day it all comes down to the luck of the draw 🤷♂️ I'd rather the people that never got a chance to see them got the tickets tbh.

Guys there's a thread called "Oasis Reunion Tour 2025 (dates/tickets/accommodation etc)" Use that for this stuff and let's keep this one for the other news
Thanks

So true. Except I've usually seen Suede put forward as the contrarian's choice. Either way it's cobblers. As great as both bands were -- and Blur too -- Oasis of 1994-96 had the devastating combo of Liam's voice, as it was then, and Noel's tunes at the point when he was physically unable to write a bad one. No one else stood a chance against the force of that.
"I guess it's like a fight. We were kinda like a fucking Mike Tyson band, y'know what I mean? We just come in fucking blazing, knocking eveyone out. We were never gonna do ten rounds, and it was never gonna get to points." - Liam
As an aside, I actually like Pulp and Suede too! Me too. Each of "the Britpop four" bands were great. But Oasis was the best of the lot while Britpop was actually happening. In the 00s they mutated into something lesser, as we know, but for the Britpop years they were top of that tree, gobbing over the rest of the bands below them.

Loved the Britpop years and Top of the Pops full of britpop bands every week. TFI Friday was great also with loads more Britpop bands playing live. Just a great time
I used to buy the 'Shine' compilations which i loved, so many classic songs on the albums but also some bands i hadnt really given time to before like Northern Uproar and many others
Yeah Oasis changed in 2000 quite a bit with SOTSOG, they didnt totally reinvent themselves but i think from 2000 onwards they got rid of a lot of the fairweather fans who wanted Wonderwall 24/7. Still had a lot of very good singles and gigs were still great but Liams voice was going downhill. Still an amazing journey

I would like to lodge a complaint about all the complaints on social media. The joy has been sucked out of this thing already and it's only been 3 days.
I'm thrilled that it's happening at all even if I don't get to go. The banter alone will be worth the last 15 years. Can't wait for it all to unfold.

Don’t Look Back In Anger and Wonderwall are #16 and #17 in this week’s UK singles chart. Live Forever at #19.
When did the lads last have 3 songs in the Top Twenty? Normally takes people croaking for this kind of thing…..

Last song from Noel charting on top 100 was "she taugh me how to fly" Three songs on top 20 for a rock band in 2024 is incredible

Only top 20 songs from Noel & Liam are: Death of you and me What a life Everything's electric Just another Rainbow (this was top 20 because they released a 7"vinyl at the same time)

Until now.
