He was but it was the question in the presale email so lots of casuals had to google it this week. Meh. Just realized the last time i saw Oasis live there was (hardly) no smartphone. What a nightmare that will be for those future gigs. A smartphone has never ruined a gig for me

What was biggest Oasis tour anyway, DBTT? How many people?

I take a few photos and a few short videos for myself at gigs but mostly put my phone away. What ruins it for me at gigs are piss pints ! Got hit by one when i saw Oasis at sheffield and had to leave, was bloody soaked, disgusting

Was that pre-sale question priming us for the next line up addition? 🤣 This presale question will end up being Tony's entire contribution to the reunion. Noel's probably concocted the whole joke years ago. Poor Tony 😄 Hopefully his book sales will increase and he can benefit

3,2 millions for DBTT Tour, but 123 concerts.
1,3 millions with 17 dates show that they follow the « let’s make a lot of cash quickly » route.

3 Extra dates have already been added this morning. 1 each at Wembley, Manchester and Edinburgh, meaning 5 at Wembley, 5 at Manchester and 3 in Edinburgh.
They should have gone down the Taylor Swift route with pre-registration.

I literally had a guy once on the phone, his back to stage, talking to someone the entire gig about absolutely something else. Just in front of me. And of course shouting, because he couldn't hear the other person and the other person couldn't hear him. I guess until you didn't experience that, you don't care. I always managed to avoid bottle of piss though. But morons with smartphone are hard to escape.

"Oasis or Blur?
Pulp mate. I'm so contrarian, intelligent and sophisticated. I'm better than you."
(AI condenses Guardian comments into the above)

My utter pet hate. Idles gave superb ripping to people obstructing others views with twatty banners at Glastonbury.

Both of them had a tray of drinks in one hand, and their phone in the other. Spent pretty much the entire gig looking at their phones not paying any attention to the band. Bizarre.

Echoing Anais Gallaghers social media post, I'd much rather some teenagers wearing pink cowboy hats who are only there for Wonderwall and social media likes than piss throwing bellends. That's how bad they are, and I always thought the young modern concert goer was ruining the live spectacle.
Hopefully demographs have changed in 15 years since and the appeal the band has to Gen Z overawes the knuckledraggers.

Yeah I get that but the fact that she managed to bring misogyny into this made me laugh

I thought that was a mocked up joke. Spot on though It's a pathetic article. And this is me who's been accused of being a bleeding heart liberal lefty on this forum! The writer goes for the charaacter assassination to deligitimise Oasis yet idolises Prince, a guy with deeply disturbing and troubling facts about him. Not to mention the Manics where he's their biggest cheerleader. I love them, but they came out with toxic stuff in their early days, notably wishing Michael Stipe would get AIDS and die (something I imagine Noel stupidly picked up and paraphrased in his comments about Damon). I can take objective critical analysis of Oasis (the 33 1/3 book on Definitely Maybe is a great read, praiseworthy and critical of the band in equal measure), but mean spirited stuff that reflects the writers own ego rather than the band itself is not edgy radical journalism. It's just being a c**t.

The guardian are a joke. What have (prehistoric) political views got to do with anything? I couldn't give a shite what political views the band holds, nor should anyone else. You either wanna live in a democracy or you don't. Imagine maligning a band because they might not share some viewpoints with you. I can't believe some of these writers earn a living. Most are half wits hiding behind some pseudo intellectual nonsense they put out to fill a page that'll be gone tomorrow.
