I'm gonna go through all the original 1970's Columbos soon, in order.
One of the best shows ever.

Started watching How I Met Your Mother again. Think I was 16-17 when I last saw it and I'm now 24, and it's great how you can go back to those old shows you've already seen and with a bit of age they offer so much more again. Think that's the reason I absolutely love rewatching things because every experience changes your perspective and can make a huge difference how you view things.
Also, even though it's just a sitcom I think it's great how much you can relate to it and suddenly you feel less miserable when you think about things in life that didn't go as you planned because you realise those things happen to everyone.
Oh and the soundtrack is great! I got really into Pavement's Major Leagues earlier this year and it played in one of the scenes that was already really emotional and it just made it even better. Spit on a Stranger was in the next episode and there's been other good songs as well.

Iβve been getting into collecting 7β singles lately and I realized I donβt know what b/w or c/w stands for.
For instance: The Jam: strange town b/w the butterfly collector Oasis: some might say c/w talk tonight
I know of course it refers to the B-side but what do b/w or c/w stand for?

B/w stands for "backed with," and c/w stands for "combined with," "coupled with," or some similar wording.

Backed with (more common) or comes with (on the b-side) ! I've been really getting into collecting vinyl as well. It cost me a year and probably more money than I should have spent, but I've finally managed to collect all 13 original Creation 12" vinyl releases (from Supersonic up to All Around the World) in good/mint condition.

Thank you! Makes sense Iβve got most of the 12β singles and itβs taken me years to track them down. Iβve not been using the internet, just relying on finding them in person. I donβt find I get the same excitement from finding everything on eBay and clicking as I would from treasure hunting record fairs and such. As for the 90s singles, Iβm still missing Live Forever, C&A, DLBIA, SBM.

I bloody hate when neighbours keep doing DIY in their backyard during a week. Annoying as hell when you're working from home.

I'm gonna go through all the original 1970's Columbos soon, in order. One of the best shows ever. Watched Murder by the Book last night, watching Death Lends a Hand now. I'm sure you're all aware that I'm about as far from your middle-aged "things were better in the past" type as it's possible to get, but there's just been a little scene in this that I struggle to image being in a hit show nowadays. A man has to identify his wife's body, and he just stands at the window as the morgue worker lifts the veil, and his face falls. And he just says he wants to leave and walks out. There was no music, or lingering, or dramatic shots. And it was a real gut punch. Almost Hemingway-esque in the way that the simple reality of the scene was allowed to do the heavy lifting.

Puffins are sadly facing extinction due to climate change and over fishing plus other things like plastics in our oceans and have been on the red list for a number of years now. This is really sad. I absolutely love and adore puffins, they're one of my favourites. Such lovely birds. π€π€π€π€π€π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€

Ned Seagoon: Ah, yes; patriots all. Now on the serious side, Elsie Sprugg and Gladys Legg of Rowton House Champagne Bar have asked for a record of Sir Gwilym Cludge conducting the Four in Jeopardy with knee-bracket accompaniment and silent dogs with the Massed Bands of the Hybrid Spahi's Banjo Society and the 4th Coolies Harmonica Chorus recorded in the natural surroundings of the living room of Jim Davidson's Saxophone Parlour and Part-Time Egg Hatchery with a solo by Rawicz and Landauer. Well, Elsie and Gladys, we haven't got it. But! Here is a record of Fred Clute and His Nubian Monsters playing cribbage!
(Sound of sped up accordion, vaguely Swiss)
Edit: If my grandfather was still alive today....you told us indeed. #GoDees

I read on the BBC science news pages that rare birds that were released into the wild after being reared in captivity are behaving like their wild counterparts. Curlews, Europe's largest wading birds, have been red listed, due to a significant decline in numbers. So this is some good news because breeding animals in captivity and then releasing them into the wild doesn't always work. π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€π¦€

I find it fascinsting how much Doctor Who has affected my dreams since I started watching it. I've had some crazy dreams that have often been borderline nightmares but the "plots" have been so interesting that I don't even care about being scared every once in a while.

Why is it that people can't accept others opinions? I've been called all sorts of names for supporting sane truck drivers who are not protesting today week. I also am pissed off that an essential part of my journey to get a job (new glasses) will be impacted and my aunt's 94 year old mother who needs specialist medicine will not be able to get it. Fuck you very much, rogues.
