Ah, that's not mine. But I know the owner Hello Kyle. Thank you for all that you do and share when the right moment comes. I've always been curious about the long lost tune from SOTSOG "For One So Young". Is this something you have in your archive and if you do what does it sound like? More in the style of Carry Us All, Getting Older, Solve My Mystery? Much appreciated. For One So Young, eh. I'd love to hear that, but I'm pretty sure that it's not in Kyle's possession. Big fan of the SOTSOG era here, that song is like a missing piece from a puzzle. We'll never hear it. I have zero hopes - unless somebody at Ignition decides to release it on a SOTSOG reissue in 2050...

The moment it had a chance was either the 2000s outtakes/rarities/bsides album that got shelved or a SOTSOG 20th anniversary which is sure as shit never happening.

I presume you don't know any lyrics for these tunes? For One So Young is a complete mystery if I'm not mistaken. We know that it exists for sure because it appears on a couple of demo tapes that are in collector's hands. We don't know a single thing about it. Not a lyric, not even a vague description. Someone years ago speculated that it was an earlier version of Just Getting Older, but it was pure speculation as far as I remember.

Nah I don't have STC or Record Machine sung by Liam. I did get hold of some early mixes of both but they're not too different to the final recordings. Way Of The World, when was that recorded? I know of another Liam sung tune but I don't have a title for it. Any info would help to see if its that. Gem singing To Be Where There's Life, is a belter. I'll sort that soon if that's not out there already? Not sure what you guys have already Thanks so much again, Kyle, for sharing the demo of The Morning Son with us, I love it so much! Really looking forward to Two Of A Kind and the early footage! Someone else here said that you also own the never released Oasis Song Way Of The World with Liam on vocals as well as recordings of Liam singing Stop The Clocks and I Wanna Live In A Dream(In My Record Machine). Do you have any plans of sharing them as well? Would love to be proven wrong, but sadly I don't think that Ignition would ever release these, so I feel like the only chance for fans to hear them would be through collectors like you sharing them. I see! Thanks so much for all the info, Kyle!

I checked, this disc is a dud. It's too damaged to read but didn't come from a reliable studio source. Could be real could be rubbish. But either way it won't play. I've offered to to try and get some data off it after I send a similar one away to try and grab any data possible. I know the lad well, he's a good egg but it's unplayable. It was posted in response to one of your posts on the Facebook OCG post. I don’t know if it was one of yours or in possession of someone else? Jim is right in what he said, the people here could be helpful to you. Lots of talent about.

XFM is not the same as Virgin. They are 2 different stations, and there were 2 different sessions.

You'd love one of the 97 songs I have then as a SOTSOG fan. One of them has the same melody in the bridge as GLIO. Princes and King's etc. That's why I don't think that particular song will get a release unless it gets a new bridge. It may be the best of the 3 actually. I always say, I'll play them to anyone but send to none, until its decided their fate. I played them to 20 guests at my last Rockfield event... phones on the table job. It was great seeing 20 grown men mesmerised and emotional for 9 mins or so There's a demo tape with this tracklist: Full On Teotihuacan For One So Young Idler's Dream One Way Road One Way Road (wrong Key / instrumental) It was from 1998, IIRC...? It was mentioned in September 1997 by Owen Morris and later in 2000 by Noel himself. Maybe some of the lyrics can relate? In an interview with Q Magazine, producer Owen Morris said "[Noel] has the best verse melodies, the best bridges, the best choruses. And he's getting better. Broader and wider, more soulful - he's already got a heartbreaking soul song called "Slow" which should be right for the fourth album." Noel later confirmed that he did write a song called "Slow" and that "...it will probably be on a solo record that I plan to do in the near future. Originally, it was written for Oasis, but I don't think it's an Oasis song. It's a bit too much of a ballad, really, which we're trying to get away from.source

It could be the first one actually. Very slow and light, a love song of sorts. Owen is actually a close mate of mine. We had a long chat last week about these songs. I sent them to him and he remembered the recording at the farm Oct 96. He said another session with more songs was done another night, which makes sense as Noel said in an interview he did 9 or 10 songs there You'd love one of the 97 songs I have then as a SOTSOG fan. Based on all the quotes I've read over the last 27 years I do not think it is "Slow". I don't get ballad vibes from any portion of GLIO. Plus Noel said around 2000, 2005 and later in 2020 he shelved the song for future release. He didn't say it rewrote or repurposed the song for another one. Who knows. It is all guess work. I have a feeling we will get "Slow" in the next 2-3 years. When that acoustic album surfaces.

I misremembered the order GLIO Bridge isn't in the slow one. The main lines from each chorus are: "There were times when I would, fall apart But I see it in your face and then I start" "Im alive! Until I'm locked up inside But the fears are feeling lonely" " quote author=" His Royal Noelness" source="/post/1745308/thread" timestamp="1712076710"] Bump into me in public anywhere and I'll play you the lot any time mate. Recording session from late 96 ? must be very special I think the problem is that Noel doesn't really care about the albums released after MG (DBTT is maybe an exception), and he can't be arsed to go through the archives and look for unreleased stuff, or he's just saving all the good songs for his future solo albums. Maybe I'm wrong but that's how I feel about it.
