It would be really cool if the 1993 Boardwalk version of All Around The World was included in it’s entirety. Yeh that's the kinda thing that would impress me tbh, complete tapes from the boardwalk, something like that Things I would want in it, some we already have, some we don't. - All Around The World (Boardwalk) - Sad Song (Liam) - Coming On Strong (polished up) - Lock All The Doors (polished up) - I Am The Walrus studio (polished up)

There's also all the never heard songs from Noel's notebook tracklistings for the first 2 records. There's little doubts he's recorded at least acoustic takes of all these songs.
And early version of Stay young, stuff like that.

I know this has probably been posted somewhere on here but someone posted this from another forum from an interview what Noel gave talking about the re issue and what it will include- In a new interview [Noel Gallagher] has elaborated on what the upcoming release will feature, and [sic]; According to the musician, the 30th anniversary reissue of ‘Definitely Maybe’ will include a host of previously lost songs — which were made during the recording sessions at the time. Telling [..] Corriere Sera how the tracks were uncovered, he said: “In the Sony archives we’ve found tapes dating to those sessions. We thought they were lost, but they were mislabelled. They are wonderful versions of those songs, some acoustic versions.” He explained that the new tracks added to the re-release will include acoustic versions of fan-favourites, ‘Live Forever’, ‘Slide Away’ and ‘Supersonic’. He also reaffirmed that fans shouldn’t hope to see any live renditions of the new songs anytime soon. www.nme.com/news/music/noel-gallagher-confirms-definitely-maybe-30th-anniversary-reissue-for-2024-denies-oasis-reunion-tour-3436441

Both of them are making bank with their solo stuff. Once that well has run dry, that's when an Oasis reunion will happen.

Hoping for a new vinyl set for the 30th, double or triple LP or something with the new studio sessions , what’s the likely hood of something like that , different configurations, box set maybe ?Just got an email through about celebrating Supersonic, hopefully the ball is starting to roll and the announcement is anytime soon, hope that’s not just it about Supersonic.

His reaction on Jonathan Ross or on Twitter after Andy's comments seem to confirm he's moved on and I'm glad if that's the case. He should keep enjoying what he does on his own or with collaborators and let the past sleep.

Did we have the Limelight version before this official release? Sounds pretty good.

Same. Has to be better than the CTS releases. Even the Mutique BHN stuff didn’t get me as it’s all Noel demos. Need some early Liam and some unheard songs. Unheard to me at least. I’ll stream if it’s the usual letdown stuff or buy if it’s as good as above. Even the Sawmills sessions were good. Early C&A and the studio IATW was great.

I'm not a betting man, but here's my take on BONUS MATERIAL and the PROBABILITY of it happening for DM30:
- New, unreleased songs from Noel's notebook - 0.00000001% - New versions of Coming on Strong / Lock All The Doors - 0.1% - Full version of All Around the World (Boardwalk) - 5% - Liam-sung full Sad Song - 25% - Unheard Liam-sung acoustic demos of DM songs of b-sides - 51% - Unheard Noel-sung acoustic demos of DM songs or b-sides - 75% - Pre-Owen Morris mixes of DM songs or b-sides - 90% - Columbia, Take #377 - 99% - Unheard live versions of DM songs or b-sides - 100% (Already got Supersonic)

But they’re supposedly Noel sung so that will piss people off. The chances of much unreleased (as in never even leaked) stuff with Liam singing is quite low I’d imagine. We know he didn’t sing Take Me Away or Half the World Away. Getting the Live Forever Demo and Sad Song with Liam on vocals would be great but it’s hard to imagine what else might be out there. I’m all for getting whatever is there from Sawmills and Monnow Valley but a lot of that has leaked. I doubt very much there are completely unreleased songs we’ve ever heard of. DM has been pretty picked over at this stage. A completely unreleased and unheard of song with Liam on vocals would be very unlikely. I wouldn’t be getting my hopes up for a brand new song in any shape of form. Monnow Valley Eden studios mixes of Sawmills (inc I am the Walrus) Live Forever Demo Sad Song with Liam on vox The rest of the Limelight gig Lock All the Doors and Coming on Strong demos officially would be nice although like Sawmills above we have them through other means. I don’t think these were ever re-recorded after the Real People sessions. The fact they weren’t played live in 93 probably means they weren’t. There are Shakermaker and Whatever demos which would be nice to have official versions off too. I’d be pretty happy with that! Noel mentioned acoustic versions. I’d be surprised if they had Liam singing but you’d never know. The Stones songs with Noel on vocals may or may not exist.

Knowing Ignition, I'd say 90%!

I think people really need to temper expectations for this release. The general fan will probably find lots of new stuff on this but for people on here there's going to be little to nothing new. Even when we got a brand new previously unheard live version of Supersonic the other day people were moaning. 1993-1994 really has been picked clean by bootleggers. We can't then complain when there's nothing left for Ignition to give us.

But without anything of substance, it’s hard not to take the cynical view of record companies churning out negligible content for high prices. Preferably nothing if there isn’t anything in the vaults. As another famous Mancunian on this kind of thing - ‘reissue, repackage, re-evaluate the songs’ etc etc.

Sad Song with Liam on vocals, now that's something. Quality versions of LATD and Comin' on Strong. Stuff from the scrapped Monnow Valley recording session. More soundcheck recordings like the one from Club Quattro. I'm not expecting new/unreleased songs of course (even if there might be - who knows what Noel recorded with an acoustic). But I bet there is something more interesting than live takes.

I just don't care for AI and it just can't be the same as the real thing. You’re not understanding what’s going on here. It’s not creating anything new. The machine learns what it is listening to so it’s able to separate a vocal track from a guitar track in a track where they’ve been mixed together. It’s not creating anything, just separating stuff out. Again, listen to the 2023 Love Me Do and then listen to the 2009 version to see the difference. The AI that you dislike (and I do too) is that rubbish where they have Liam singing Noel solo tunes, that’s bobbins and fake. umm not sure if this has already been pointed out but...the reason Peter Jackson had to use AI in the first place was because the stems and multitracks for those old Beatles albums were not available any more, obviously with it being 50 years ago. This allowed them and Giles to create new mixes with the individual tracks. Im pretty certain Sony, Ignition or whoever can easily access the stems/recordings of the DM sessions if they wanted to. No need for AI, it was only 30 years ago. Think of Noels DYKWIM rethink for instance. Same thing. No need for AI. Im not against AI btw, just dont see any need for it here.

Also, for what its worth, Noel definitely has more tape recorded acoustic demos from around that era than what he's letting on. I know he likes to give off the aura that he just writes these great songs within the space of 5 minutes and thats it, but I guarantee he will have recorded numerous snippets and workings of songs he was writing around that time on a little portable tape recorder. No chance did he just mange to magically "remember" hundreds of songs he wrote during that period. Doubt we'll see any on this reissue though.

But there’s a certain vocal part of the fandom that will be up in arms about it being useless if there isn’t an album of brand new songs from 1994 sung by Liam. Doesn’t matter what new stuff sung by Noel there is.
