The rowdy mania of Madchester fused with the lush haze of shoegaze and finally topped off with a good solid dose of good ol' rock 'n' roll. One of the best songs ever!

kinda related to definitely maybe (but also all of oasis) but i just went to the exhibition in manchester that Kyle Dale hosted, and im mindblown. so much rare oasis stuff in there. he even played me an unreleased tune with liam on vocals from 2005 in the studio for DBTT sessions that has never been shared online, it sounded mega. Was it Way Of The World? Later released by Andy Bell.

Columbia has never been one of my favourites but if that was the version we got on DM it would have been. For me it's the best of the dozens of versions out there by a long way. The other songs from that session are inferior to the DM release versions but that's definitely the best version of Columbia

Loving the new version of Columbia , trying to make out the line about the sister in Norris Green, anyone know if there is a Norris Green in Manchester? Was thinking how would he have known about the Norris Green in Liverpool, ha, still can’t make out the end bit, the extra verse about the media fits in really well though, maybe should have kept it in.

I can't be bothered to search but look around in the Oasis forum, someone made out the lyrics from the outtake.

That Norris Green bit was first heard in a version recorded in Liverpool with the Real People.

I spoke about this on the previous page. Here's the lyrics... The sister lives in Norris Green She's the biggest tart you've ever seen She can't half build a wall Straight as a javelin pole

It was teased a few months back that Man City would have a DM inspired 3rd kit for 2024-2025. They just announced today that Noel’s handwriting is being used on the kits for all non EPL matches. Is this actually the Oasis tie in or should we still expect a DM themed kit?

Especially when you compare it to The Stone Roses/Man United collaboration. It doesn't help that they've rounded off all the words and letters comic sans style. Just looking at it you can see they've got him to write A-Z/1-9 on an iPad and called it a day. No variety in letters, consideration of flow. Real poor. Pulling off a Definitely Maybe shirt would be very difficult. The Stone Roses Jackson Pollock inspired art lends itself really well to pretty much anything due to it's abstract nature and lack of focal points. What makes the Definitely Maybe cover iconic ARE it's focals points (the band members and the objects in the room). You could use the colour scheme but that doesn't obviously shout Definitely Maybe to me.

You could use the font that the album used for the names on the back and maybe mix some blue and that light cream/yellow color, but having Noel scribble some shit and chef kiss it is really lazy. Those Manchester United kits are MINT, props to them. Maybe we need Liam to design the City kits

I’m definitely going to be bummed if the 3rd kit isn’t Oasis/DM inspired.

I’m definitely going to be bummed if the 3rd kit isn’t Oasis/DM inspired. How do you even make it work without having the band in the kit iself? Unless they use the Union Jack swirl logo as the starting point I don't see it working.

Ok it's not the greatest design in the world but this has taken me what... half an hour to make and most of that was on the dodgy collar and cuffs. At least some effort from the design team would've been appreciated. (It's the spinning globe, duh!?)

Making Money with stealing Comic Sans MS. Probably the biggest Ripp Off from Noel Gallagher. EVER.

Who the fuck wants that or the sweatshirt?!?!? Give us Familiar To Millions vinyl reissue with that money. I agree with you about who wants that or the sweatshirt. However, I already have the original vinyl version of Familiar To Millions but I can understand fans wanting a reissue if they don't have the original.
