Noel has issued a heap of remixes of his solo work. I know some don't like them but I think a double vinyl album of these would be a great RSD release.
In fact all his official remixes clock in at over five hours so there's easily scope for three double albums. Maybe one per year for the next three years. One release focusing mainly on the remixes, one on the dub mixes and one on the instrumental remixes.

Yeah I suppose we'll get more when he gets the rights for the later Oasis albums. Dont remember the date, but its soon. 2025 was it ? I cant remember. Why doesn’t he have the rights do it now? They were going to do the latter days best of with the unreleased songs a couple of years back. Thought he had the rights to do whatever he wanted to now? For the songs he wrote at least. I dont remember what was precisely the deal. But its up in 2025 and Noel will get full control. Cant remember if it was on the whole catalog, the 3 early albums or later albums. (I got a 4 year waking up at 5,30 am everyday sorry ) There's a thread on that where we discussed it in details from a few years ago. It probably involves all the right (publishing etc) So he's probably holding very good unreleased stuff for when he gets full control (and full money). From apple music last year. “Well, I get mine [the rights to his catalogue] back, all of it, in 2025, because I've been knocking years off the deal as opposed to taking money advances,” Noel told Apple Music. When he fully owns them in 2025, he is considering selling the rights to a licensing company.

It could mean the opposite though. If he sells to a private equity firm, which is the done thing these days then they'll hold the rights and will want to monetise them as quickly and lucratively as possible. So it could mean multiple re-releases and Oasis tunes being used in more TV, film and content etc.
He'd make so much money off it that it's probably another final nail in the Oasis reunion coffin.

OK I already have those two songs. Nothing to see here - certainly absolutely nothing worth cracking my wallet open for. Yeah, I totally agree with you and I absolutely hate Noel's version of Love Will Tear Us Apart anyway.

Having said that, I've already compiled my own homemade 4CD package of all his remixes (they work much better as a long running playlist rather than just as a single remix that's dropped as a bonus track) and I don't buy vinyl albums or vinyl singles anyway so I'm really not fussed what he puts out for RSD. At least if it's something new there's usually a rip or download version that circulates for me.

It’s also highly lame that in 2021, Noel’s contribution to RSD was his best of with color variant vinyl. Boo! Should have given us a best of featuring live performances found on the album or a b-sides compilation. Something to be fan friendly.

You all need to start hammering this with requests and not for compilations of old remixes either! For those of you who are disappointed by Noel’s RSD this year, may I draw your attention to their suggestions form: www.recordstoreday.com/NewsItem/10666Feel free to spam this with your suggestions for better Noel & Oasis releases. I recommend the Amorphous Androgynous album. 🧙 🧙♀️ 🧙♂️

That actually broke RSD rules, but I guess Noel is a big enough player to not abide by them. “Unless there are exceptional circumstances it should not have been made available or be made available in a similar format (e.g. different colour) for at least 12 months prior to or post RSD.” irp.cdn-website.com/67794b89/files/uploaded/label-code-of-conduct.docx

I doubt Noel would ever sell, at least not now. He wants his legacy back, and that's done with multiple releases of reissues, unheard demos, alternate versions... etc done by him, not by some suits somewhere in Los Angeles. Maybe there's not much with the first 3 records, but after that, he's spent a lot of time in the studio demoing ideas. Once this is milked maybe he will sell. Nothing in his business model indicates he's willing sell. He's only saying that for headlines. He doesn't really need the money, despite the divorce and all. I don't think he's after more money and can easily licence his songs to tv and ads himself.

At least if it's something new there's usually a rip or download version that circulates for me. He doesn’t repackage super old material though. He seems to do his new years demo digital release then give it a physical release shortly after for RSD. I don’t know why he doesn’t do RSD first, then digital second, to give a bit more cachet to the RSD release. He could’ve easily done the Abbey Road songs as the new years treat this time and saved In A Little While as a proper new RSD release. It would’ve actually been a magic “secret” then 😅 Anyway, it’s nitpicking. I’m happy he does these festive drops now, much better than nothing. And better than a compilation of super old remixes we already have 😛

I'll buy it, but that artwork is a joke really, the songs though I'm happy with.
What's silly with RSD now is that virtually everything ends up for sale online on Banquet / Rough Trade etc anyway after the first few days, often significantly cheaper too!
I'll save myself the bother and the parking and fuel costs of going into town and queueing on the Saturday.

Went today to my local store and asked if they will have it in stock tomorrow just to make sure because I'm not in the UK. They said they'll have a couple, so I'll queue up tomorrow morning to get it.
