Dot-com all over again. Enjoy the current peak while it last folks! Won't see proper innovation again for another 15 years after this.

This is great. Just hammers home all the Noel sung songs Liam should've sang when he was at his peak.

Love what it did with this one. Essentially patched up the shoddy vocals during the Familar To Millions set and made it more like the album version.

Considering he's using a mid-90s Liam in-studio voice sample, I wonder what it could sound like with a voice extraction from one of the 1999 gigs they did...

Do people really think this is good? Losing the prospect of musical endeavour being real. It’s diverting sure but I think it’s worry. This. This sums it all up for me. It's not good and like yourself I worry about all of this. Even if it is just being used as an enhanced method of autotune to correct bad performances (such as Liam's Gas Panic). Technology perfects everything, it's all sanitised, scrubs away the imperfections and 'what ifs'. To be human is to be flawed and curious and this doesn't achieve that. I saw an interview where Brian Eno said its in our subconscious to appreciate what feels human and that modern technology that perfects every song is leaving us further astray from experiencing authentic, raw emotion. On another level, this stuff is absolutely destroying human curiosity. It's all part of society's need for instant gratification. It leaves us with no exploration, no 'what if', no sense of what it is to discover. If all my desires about Oasis is going to be satisfied through AI, my curiosity and wonder about this band will take a beating. I don't need to hear Liam singing Don't Look Back In Anger if it doesn't exist. I can only wonder, and sometimes that's good enough.

I love his 2000 voice at Wembley. And I love his 1999 studio voice. I would never trade it for his early 90's voice

I just listened to the original and you're right, but if the AI was to do any gig in 2005-2007 or 2008-2009, it would be even worse, because then Liam was cutting his notes short and was completely flat in delivery live. So this only has a short shelf life for any Oasis performances in Mk2 era.

The problem isn't necessarily now as it will satisfy a lot of peoples curiosity, there's nothing wrong with that. The problem is when people start passing stuff off as genuine rarities. Firstly because it will be difficult to tell as fans what's the real deal and secondly a lot of people will get stung for a lot of money.

Plenty of the AI art and audio is easily distinguishable from real stuff (extra fingers on hands in AI photos, vocal warping and artifacts). If anything the AI era will make more people skeptical of rarities that could be released out of nowhere, which is understandably unfortunate for collectors sharing them, but I don't see AI scams being a thing until it truly becomes indistinguishable from reality.

😍 Imagine they did this for real in the 90s live, oof. Liam would've smashed those verses and Noel comes in for the chorus.

Problem is you can’t explore things that don’t exist. And if you are exploring them, it is not a real thing. But they do exist (or can exist with a little work). The exploration is the listening experience. It's like traveling. You're not going to enjoy every landmark or location you visit. But it's all part of the journey.
