I think its good to support upcoming British artists like James Hargreaves who aspire to bring rock n roll back to the mainstream.

I love that one, arguably the worst lyrics ever put on record After watching the music video and hearing the song, I'm worried about criticizing him because I'm starting to really think he's on the spectrum in some way. Not sure how else I can word this without sounding like a jerk.

I love how this thread went from asking who is this guy to calling him an autistic nutjob.

Spot on. It's actually really alarming anyone would go to them lengths just because he's got a bit of access to Tom now. I happen to know for a fact Tom was a ticking time bomb for years. I even seen him in Leicester myself a few times and some of the things i could tell you are eye opening. I think he really needed better friends around him. He certainly was not this innocent, charming, likeable man he is trying to portray. The band were putting up with his antics for years before they finally said enough is enough. But to in anyway defend what Tom did, like James does in that video, is normalising abuse. That is just not okay. Tell us then! Stop being a tease Wouldn't really want to kick him when he's down by going into too much detail but anyone who went to Leicester City games around that time would see him struggling to stand up and not really knowing where he is. Like I say he really needed better friends around him but they all looked like tag alongs that had no concern for his health at all. That said, we all get drunk. We don't do what he did. The lack of accountability from him has been quite staggering in my view. I genuinely hope he's changed but I don't buy the nice guy act from having seen him without cameras on him before. I think Kasabian as a band have acted admirably and could have really told some stories to bury him. Especially considering how he's let this army of "no tom,no party" morons build up momentum.

Not sure how else I can word this without sounding like a jerk. I’m not really sure why it matters if he’s on the spectrum or not. And who cares if he is. We are here to discuss his videos not his personal life. If I knew the backlash I wouldn’t have made an independent thread.

I take his videos with a pinch of salt. Some of his theories are clearly nonsense but some are really good and make you see things in a different light, even if I don't necessarily agree with him. The Masterplan one was superb, even if the Beatles bit at the end was ludicrous. They are always well presented though.
I lost a bit of respect after the Tom Meighan videos. The crazy part is that Tom himself had previously taken responsibility for his actions and his story isn't 100% black and white, there are shades of grey to what happened, but the interviews more or less excused him and presented him as the victim. Found Tom to be extremely irritating too and started to pin the blame on Serge. I think James got a bit too giddy and starstruck with that one.
Overall I think James seems a decent bloke who sometimes gets a bit carried away. I hope he doesn't read this thread, he obviously puts his work out there to be shot at but some of the comments have crossed the line imo.

“Lottery ticket” is a tune. Reminds me of Oasis circa 94

Whilst my opinions on most his content is mixed to say the least, his most recent SOTSOG video I completely agreed with.
I love that album and have written on here at great lengths before about it. My opinion has always been that it isn’t an MK2 Oasis album but rather the epilogue to the original MK1 before they reset when Gem and Andy joined. Whilst It’s not part of MK1 and the original glory days trilogy but it is a direct result of it.
It’d be great if more footage was around of them recording that album with Guigs and Bonehead

I didn't know Bonehead was writing stuff at the time. I wonder if he had stayed in the band then some of his stuff would've got used eventually like Andy and Gem's songs. Can't have been much worse than a lot of their tunes.

“Lottery ticket” is a tune. Reminds me of Oasis circa 94 probably because the first 2 lines are completely ripped from Talk Tonight melody wise

I’m sure it was about a year or so after he left oasis Bonehead started a band called Moondog One. soundcloud.com/adamcudworth/moondog-oneWikipedia says Arthurs now lives in Manchester where he has built a recording studio under his house and formed Moondog One (named after Johnny and the Moondogs, one of the Beatles' former titles before they rose to fame), which also includes The Smiths' Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke.

The gatekeeping in his latest video on Council Skies was really offputting. "True fans buy physical" I don't understand this hesitancy he has towards online music when he's complained in the past about how you used to need to pay for music.

The irony of a YouTuber complaining about digital, aka his platform and entire audience.

I think his point is that true fans buy their music and directly support artists instead of streaming which is only worth pennies. Nothing to see here.
His whole shtick is getting rock n' roll music back into the charts. Buying music is rocket fuel to achieve that goal.

This guy basically writes fan fic right? Like all those now “legend” destined Star Wars novels from 1983 to 1997?
