Similar and Comparable.
Easy Now, easily. Wandering Star is proper wank, though.
Made normal poll.

I massively prefer Easy Now.
I don’t find them that similar, other than the fact they are both acoustic guitar driven NG songs.
Wandering Star has always felt lazy and uninspired to me, whereas Easy Now has a strong melody, and sounds like more effort was put into the writing.

Similar in terms of vibe, the chords and structurally sure, they're both attempts at re-creating Little By Little. But quality wise it's not even close. Wandering Star sounds like an unfinished demo, it's one of my least favorite things that Noel's released post-Oasis. Easy Now isn't as good as Little By Little but it's far superior to Wandering Star.

Wandering Star is a cool live track and could've been very good (there are still some nice elements to it, and the lyrics are cool), but it just sounds so blatantly unfinished Easy Now not only has more to it melody-wise imo, but it's the better song overall

I really like Wandering Star - although A Dream Is All I Need To Get By is much better from the same period.
Easy Now is ok.

I prefer Easy Now, I really don't like the bells and the drums on Wandering Star. On the other hand, this part of it is beautiful:
All of the dreams you have I have them too And all of the songs I sing I wrote for you

Really in the top top tier of Gallagher songs from the last 25 years. I think it's got crossover appeal for those not Oasis fans, yet keeps the traditional fans happy too. If that had been the lead single, I'd be stoked. It is the sort of song Noel should be writing and is a hidden gem of a tune. And the recording is excellent. The production is fine, the drums are find and I thought he'd learnt a few lessons. Obviously not hearing this new one.

Easy Now isn't a bad song, just sounds like it released in 2011. Been there, done that. The Sardy plodding returning is worrisome though.
Wandering Star is genuinely just mediocre. A painfully bland, plodding Christmas ballad.

Same song really.
I'm ok with either melodically, but the output is awwwwwful. Well, not the production, the mastering.

Easy Now, We're On Our Way Now and Wandering Star fit really well together, I wish they were on the same album. None of them is better than the other.

You're so right. Absolutely adore Wandering Star and am beginning to feel the same way about Easy Now. Really growing on me. Love the pair of 'em

Wandering Star is probably among the worst five tracks he's released under the NGHFB name.
Easy Now is not great but it's growing on me. It's got a pretty awful sound though, it's almost like hearing Sardy again. Shitty drums, muffled mix... I hope the rest of the album doesn't sound the same.

That is a bold claim I gotta think about that one. A Simple Game of Genius (2009 soundcheck with Crazy Horse solos please!!!!) Stop The Clocks (Too much hype. Recorded in the wrong key as Noel admitted) Record Machine (Oasis demo better but not by much. Needs Liam) Revolution Song (SOTSOG demo miles and miles better. Should have come on then) The Interludes from Moon (Should have been a single 5 min track and needed a Gorillaz style collboration) I find all these uninspiring, boring and disappointing in their final form.

The Good Rebel is the worst thing he's released with HFB imo, Stop The Clocks, The Mexican, Black and White Sunshine and maybe Dream On would round up my worst 5

Easy now. Just because I remember Wandering Star being bigged up on this forum way before it was released, as some sort of amazing, career-topping melody. Like fook it is.
Also Easy now is much better.

Dream On and Stop the Clocks are also good songs The Girl with the X-Ray Eyes is the worst album track by a distance, for me I like that one, can sound a bit cheesy but I think the melody is very strong The lumpen pastiche sound and weird blowjob allusions leave me with a queasy feeling in my stomach Mad how he had Do the Damage, Sail On, Freaky Teeth, Revolution Song, and even the charming Leave My Guitar Alone sitting around but still plumped for that tune.
